Following a competitive EU tendering process, Boomeranger successfully delivered a new 6 meter C-605 RHIB with Volvo Penta D3 engine and DPS sterndrive for the Irish Revenue Commissioners in November 2021. The boat replaces a waterjet Boomeranger RHIB, which has served the Revenue Commissioners well since 2008.
The new Boomeranger C-605 is located onboard the Revenue Customs Cutter (RCC) Faire. Faire’s sister ship, RCC Suirbhéir has another Boomeranger C-605 onboard, serving the Revenue Commissioners since 2004. The RHIBs are stern launched from Revenue Customs Cutters and are primarily used in routine enforcement and anti-smuggling operations in Irish territorial waters and adjacent seas.
Boomeranger is proud to support the Irish Revenue Commissioners in patrolling at sea safely and wishes Safe Returns from all missions.
