Foreign Correspondents' Programme in Finland
Currently, the MFA invites young journalists through other programmes to Finland. In 2022 thisisFINLAND Foreign Correspondents’ Programme was organized in June.

Day 5 of in super sunny City of Turku! We visited Turku Student Village and heard about RESPONSE-project. After a guided city walk we had a sauna and refreshments in Saaronniemi and wonderful dinner in Nobi. Thank you Katri Puhakainen from City of Turku for organising a great program for us! Kiss my❤️ Turku!
Day 4 was the day of Helsinki University. We had very interesting discussions with Dr. Iro Särkkä, Assistant Professor Katri Pynnönniemi and Emeritus Kimmo Rentola. Afternoon themes were happiness, wellbeing and education with PhD Iida Pyy and University Lecturer Jenni Vartiainen.
Day 3 of started with meeting in The Parliament of Finland with members of parliament Mr. Joonas Könttä and Mr. Jukka Kopra. We also visited Aalto University and heard about innovation ecosystem and Smart Otaniemi. In EMMA museum we got to experience modern art and the Museum of Play exhibited toys from our childhoods. The day ended with dinner hosted by the City of Espoo.
Day 2 of ! Today we had a interesting meeting with Mr. Janne Kuusela from Ministry of Defence and with Mr. Jere Paldanius from the Finnish Defence Forces. We also had discussions about media freedom with Ms. Laura Saarikoski from Helsingin Sanomat. Not to forget the sunny city walk and great lunch!
Today we spent the day at the MFA. Day filled with many interesting meetings and sharp questions!
