BIG NEWS! We have a new bass player!
We are very happy to inform you that Juuso O is the new bass player for Black Royal!
He is also known from Grave With A View (a great band - check them out!) Let's give him a warm welcome! He’s a great dude with big bass sound that makes us sound even heavier 💪. You can see him in action with us already this friday in Varjobaari, Tampere.

Our original bass player Pete decided to concentrate his efforts more to work and family related things earlier this year and we parted ways in perfect understanding. We´ll always be grateful for the 10 great years with him!
As many of you noticed we had Mika from Egokills (a great band - check them out!) as a fill-in bassist for most of this year. He saved our asses learning songs quickly and it was great fun being on the road with him - Thank you again, dude!
We will spend the rest of the year honing the live set and also writing new stuff for our fourth album. Exciting times indeed!

Vuonna 2013 perustettu Black Royal soittaa pirullisen tarttuvaa death metallin ja sludgen sekoitusta, jota bändi kutsuu Death Bluesiksi. Yhtye on julkaissut kaksi omakustanne-EP:tä ja kolme täyspitkää albumia. Uusin albumi "Earthbound" julkaistiin lokakuussa 2022. Lavalla bändi loihtii esiin äänimassan, joka saa yleisön epäilemään olevansa osa häpeämättömän groovia demonista rituaalia - tai mustaa ja hikistä death’n’roll -settiä.

Porilainen Marto yhdistelee musiikissaan äärimetallia ja Saima Harmajalta sekä AW Yrjänältä vaikutteita saanutta runoutta. Musiikillisesti Marton viesti on tyly ja vain harvat kappaleet kellottavat yli kolme minuuttia. Tästä huolimatta bändin vaihdelaatikosta löytyy muutakin nopeutta, ja kappaleissa voi kuulla häivähdyksiä CMX-tyylisistä melankolisista melodioista.
