Hot summer day by a wilderness lake in the capital city area of Finland, in Espoo/Vihti, at lake Saaren Musta.

Lake Kiikunlähde in Hollola, Finland. It is actually a big pool of Spring water. It is not advisable to swim in it, as the residents of the area are taking their drinking water from this lake.

Kiikunlähde Hollolassa. Erikoinen järvi on itse asiassa suuri lähde, josta paikalliset taloudet ottavat käyttövetensä. Tämän vuoksi ei ole hyvä idea käydä siellä uimassa, vaikka täysin kirkas vesi kovasti siihen houkuttelisikin.

I am back to Finland after a great trip to Azores last week. Azores is a challenging place for a photographer as the weather is very unpredictable and out of seven days there were almost six full days fully overcast not offering many possibilities for great light. But when the sky opened, the island where I was truly amazed me and offered some great views. I hope you will enjoy the "fruits" of my trip during following days :)

At the same time as I am uploading photos from Iceland, a professional travel photographer Lucie Debelkova is also uploading her set of Iceland. I can not really reach the level of her amazing shots. I recommend you to have a look at her page.

Iceland was always on top of my list of my all time favorite locations, however having visited the North Cape now, I'm not sure what my most favorite location will be... is it grandiose and harsh coastal nature of the very north of Europe or unusual landscape of Iceland... well I dont have to make that choice now.

Travel photography even if it is still just amateur like can sometimes be nerv wrecking. Sometimes it can be pure fiest. Iceland has not been too gentle with me though. First the road was knowcked out in south making my trip plan changed, then weather has been just rainy and gray, finally with 97% certainty to see whales I used the 3% left...

Tomorrow I will start a journey in a country I haven't visited yet - Iceland! I will travel for two weeks and I hope the photos will make the justice for the beauty of that country.

For some time I was wondering what to do on my summer holidays and the answer was in front of my eyes when I saw and advertisement of "great offers" for the flights to Iceland. So, as a victim of advertisement I am going to Iceland this summer. Can't wait to have a possibility to take photos in that amazing nature.

Almost a week behind here in Ethiopia. I will need to really disappoint you if you wish to see amazing photos from Ethiopia. I have been so occopied with work that I have only been able to shoot some frames through dirty window of a car while going to work or coming back. No sightseeing or walking around :(
