to ECE Field Trip. SMPS wishes to thank everyone that had contributed towards the success of the Field Trip! Firstly, we wish to thank Allah S.T for keeping his divine guidance whilst on the field trip.

Secondly, we wish to thank S.Nairs Transport for providing a safe journey to and from Sigatoka and lastly the parents for making this trip worthwhile for all the children. This amazing journey will go a long way in making a sound future the young children.

SMPS Years 5 - 8 participated in the TMC yesterday. A good outing for first timers in the competition. Year 8 team exceeded expectations and won their grade and have qualified for the Fiji Finals to be held at a later date. Allhamdullilah.

During this we tend not to forget the gallant and tireless efforts of our ECE and Years 1-4 teachers who have had a hand in shaping the students academic future whilst also teaching them the basics that have landed them at this amazing academic juncture.

A massive 👏 achievement for our school and credit goes to the entire staff of SMPS for having a hand in this achievement. This is for you All. 😃

The International Day Against Drugs Use & ILLICIT TRAFFICKING week was launched at SMPS this morning. The theme for this year's celebrations is;

"BE RESPONSIBLE, MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE AND STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS"

The SMPS family wishes to extend a hearty thanks to The Syndicate for sponsoring our banner. Syndicate is a group of youth who are also doing their part in keeping people away from drugs with their exhilarating and unique car shows.

The Syndicate is led by Brother Rizwan and a set of other car enthusiasts. The Banner looks Stellar indeed! JazakAllahu Khair.

On behalf of Suva Muslim Primary & Suva Muslim ECE Staff, Management, students and all stakeholders we would like to wish everyone a wonderful Eid-ul- Adha Mubarak. May the blessings of Allah s.t be upon us all. Please take note that the school will be closed for the celebrations/prayers on 18/06/2024 i,e, tomorrow, Tuesday Week 5 of Term 2. We resume for normal lessons on Wednesday 19/06/2024.

Please ensure that students stay safe during this Eid and we wish to see all students on Wednesday as we have also entered revision period for Mid-Year Exam starting next week i.e. Week 6 from 24/06/24 till 28/06/2024. Timetable for respective classes have been forwarded by class teachers via their class viber groups.

Young Baselala impresses in Football Suva Muslim Primary School goalkeeper Setareki Baselala has been instrumental in keeping both their Under 12 and Under 14 football teams undefeated in the Suva Primary Schools Inter-Primary Soccer competition.

Assalamu Alaikum WRB! & Good evening, dear parents/guardians. SPSSA Inter-Primary concluded today with the Under-10, Under-14 Boys & Girls grade soccer.

Our Under-10 & U-14 Boys teams had a very good tourney gaining a lot of experience for themselves. We thank the respective coaches; Mr. Rameez with Manager Mrs. Farasha,
Mr. Rizwan with Manager Mrs. Shabana. We also wish to thank the Parents/Sibling/Friends & Guardians who turned out in numbers to provide support to our teams for the past 3 days. I also wish to thank our school management team, my two AHT; s for providing moral support and to those that kept us in your prayers; we appreciate you.

Under-14 Girls displayed an amazing aura in the stadium with their exhilarating display which enabled them to win the Final against a very worthy opponent. Goal Scorer in the "Final" was Salome Midra Vakasavuwaqa Lukuta who also scooped the Player of the Final
& Player of the Tournament was Nicole Fraser Faith Qiolele.

Our Under 12 soccer boys play the 1st semi-final this Thursday i.e. on 02/05/24. We urge you all to please come out in numbers on this day and support our boys.

1: As per discussions of Fiji NDMO & other key stakeholders, Schools resume tomorrow i.e. Thursday 16/11/23.

2: Tomorrow we shall engage in psychosocial Support and Revisions would continue.

3: Years 1-3 would also have their continuous assessment.

4: Rest of the exam papers would be administered as per the timetable given, but in Week 11 from Monday 20/11/23 to Wednesday 22/11/23 for Years 4-7.

Year Level i.e. from Years 1-8 plus
an additional Year 8 in 2024.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Barkatu! To one and All. Southern Muslim Sports Association Soccer/Netball Tournament concluded on 10/08/2023 at Nasinu Muslim Primary School grounds. Once again our players played extremely well and were able to add SIX more awards to our trophy cabinet.

At this juncture I would like to thank the following people who had made the SMSA tournament a success:

- The Coaching Panel of both the Soccer & Netball Teams.
- Staff gathered to cheer, support and give guidance to the players.
- Parents/Guardians that came in support
-Team Players for performing exceptionally well.

Our Accolades from the tournament which concluded yesterday was:

Suva Muslim Primary Kindergarten celebrated “ECE WEEK” from 24/07/2023 – 28/07/2023. The theme for the week was “EARLY LEARNING MATTERS: LEARNING THROUGH CONNECTIONS”. Highlights of the week included:

Day 1: Opening Ceremony: Marching with Banner on the Theme–Launching by Head of School, AHT'S and HPS Coordinator.

Day 2: Educational Videos Screening. Guest Speakers included; Hafiza Moonisah – Language Department Representative

Day 3: Sports Day, Fruit Day and bouncy castle playtime. We wish to thank Mr. Nazel and Mrs. Risha Nand for bringing in the Bouncy Castle for the kid's fun day. We also had a guest speaker from Reserve Bank of Fiji Mr. Mervin Singh

Day 4: Character Parade of their possible career choices. & Guest Speakers were officials from Nabua Police Station.

Day 5: Closing Day; Guest of Honor: Mr. Imran Jannif, School Manager and Guest Speaker was Ms. Milli. from LTA who talked at length on Road Safety, indoor and outdoor games and also another guest speaker was present, Miss. Matelita

The school wishes to thank each and every one who contributed to the success of this weeklong program mainly, our school staff, donors and school management.

The SPSSA INTER PRIMARY SOCCER TOURNAMENT 2023 was held at HFC STADIUM on TUESDAY 11th July and WEDNESDAY 12th July respectively. As the dust settled Wednesday afternoon our institution won many accolades which included the following:

1. UNDER 10 BEST DRESSED TEAM.
2. SETEREKI BASELALA of Year 5P - GOLDEN GLOVE Winner
3. WINNER UNDER 10 Grade.
4. MOST DISCIPLINE TEAM UNDER 12.
5. JOSUA Tuiloa of Year 6M MOST VALUABLE PLAYER UNDER 12.
6. UNDER 12 Grade WINNER
7. UNDER 14 GIRLS- SEMIFINALIST
8. UNDER 14 BOYS- SEMIFINALIST

Nothing can be taken away from our Under 14 girls' team and boys as well, as they played their hearts out in front of supporters. The tourney has been etched into their long term memories as they got to walk and feel the same pitch where once the former soccer and rugby greats have earned a name of themselves.

SMPS family also wishes to thank all the parents who came to the stadium in support of our players and cheered them on. Your presence definately made a difference. Do accept our heartfelt gratitude.
