"After more than 10 years with the same musicians and format, Petter Wettre wanted to make a change in both the musicians and the music itself. This project is different from previous Petter Wettre productions, with age difference and musical approach being important factors that make it unique. The concerts in 2012 reflected this change.
With Petter Wettre Next Generation, he has assembled a group of young and talented musicians who challenge him and ensure that he maintains his high standard. These musicians have made a strong impact both nationally and internationally".

30 years and then some......
A short while after I graduated Berklee and moved to Oslo, (May 92), the club "Rebekka West" started a series of jazz concerts on Tuesdays if I'm not mistaken, hosted by legendary guitarist . I remember thinking "If I could somehow play with him, that would be the pinnacle of my career. Hopefully that will happen sometime in the future".
A couple of years later it did. I actually also formed a band with him, (my first), and we toured northern Norway that same year, (1994), then with drummer
It probably wasn't the pinnacle of my career, but it sure was fun times and indeed a steep learning curve for a young unexperienced me.
Somewhere I've got a cassette tape of a recording we did for Norwegian Broadcasting. If I find it, I'll share it.

Here' s to the next 30!🥂
