This set I performed for HÖR consists exclusively of unreleased tracks from the extensive SKYLAX RECORDS catalog. While some of these tracks have already been released, the majority are still in production at the factory (yes, we still press vinyls!). Honestly, it wouldn’t have felt right to play oldies when we have a catalog of over 1000 tracks to dig through! Instead of saying the clichéd « things were better before, » we believe there’s an ocean of outstanding artists who deserve to have their music showcased. With hard work and dedication, I believe some of these tracks will stand the test of time and may even become classics (we’ve already produced some!). It’s needless to say how much we love our artists—they are the lifeblood and soul of skylax records, just as much as I am. It’s only fair to play their fabulous music. The last slide features one of my unreleased tracks 😉 I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. A special mention goes to the incredible club village that is Sisyphos. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. It was truly refreshing to highlight genuine DJ-ing with such humble people, from the staff to the DJs. I doubt many trendy DJs with that signature parisian sound could have lasted five minutes with this type of crowd, who craved a more vibey, solar sound rather than something pounding. Something to ponder. Berlin is still Berlin. Love you all ❤️
