Après la génération de musique par IA, voilà celle qui permet de faire chanter (et parler) à partir d'une simple photo, ça existait déjà un peu, mais là, c'est de plus en plus impossible à démêler le vrai du faux.
Dans qq mois, le truc qui permettra d'écrire "fait chanter à Marine Le Pen un morceau de death métal sataniste" et en génèrera un clip parfait... vivement demain.

Alors là oui encore une évolution de la musique 100% générée par IA, encore plein de défauts, mais ça commence à devenir bien bluffant, en 1 ligne de texte, on peut générer de la superbe musique de m***e... On critique, on critique, mais vu comme ça évolue depuis qq mois, va falloir que les zicos commencent à se faire du mouron.

Abécédaire (Alphabet learning book) offers 26 short pieces in alphabetical order from A to Z, that realize Boubaker and Joussein’s fearless sonic vision of making a joyful noise with wild, energetic and uncompromising free improvisation. Boubaker and Joussein focus on each piece on a simple, raw motif, grind it into exhaustion in super fast and dense dynamics, spit its remains and jump head first into the next one. There is no time for reflection, even for breathing, or diving deeper, just immediate, nervous action and reaction. The longest pieces are a little longer than two minutes.

Boubaker has developed a unique vocabulary on the electric guitar and he challenges Joussein’s manic polyrhythmic patterns with its twisted, thorny lines, as Joussein keeps Boubaker on his toes with his reckless energy. The interplay is wild but precise and compact, and Boubaker and Joussein never stop searching and exploring more modes of interaction.

With considerably less space for all things improvised, there are always exceptions. When it's down to me, of course. Heddy Boubaker is an electric guitarist, and Yann Joussein is a drummer; they work as Jobo (or maybe as JoBo?). Boubaker's work was reviewed before, but *perhaps) not Joussein's; I don't know much about either of them. The inner sleeve of this CD is reserved for liner notes, but I can't read these, partly because it's in French (and I know I am not supposed to complain about that; let me say it's a severe limitation if you want to reach an audience beyond the borders of your language) and partly because the print is so damn small (alright, it's also on Bandcamp). This album has twenty-six short tracks, from 'Alacrite' to 'Zwinglianisme', each new track and a new letter from the alphabet. What attracted me, the not-so-much-into-improvised-music listener, was the brief character of these pieces. Very few are over two minutes, and none are longer than that. The two men play with unusual aggression, attacking drums and guitars. While their playing of these instruments is relatively conventional, the guitar is a guitar, and the drums sound like drums. Their playing is more akin to punk music, with brutalist short attacks on both instruments, and the fact that they never stretch their pieces gives this the aggressive punk vibe that I like in improvised music. I'm thinking of The Ex here, sans (and that French) any vocals, but sharing their love for a jazzy outburst. At forty-six minutes and twenty-six tracks, this is no easy listening music, but that's not the intention. As always, I think this kind of music is best enjoyed in a concert setting, as at home, it's hard to replicate the same volume and intensity or the interaction of musicians and audience. I can't turn up the volume required for this kind of music at home, but I tried, and the result was close enough for a massive thumbs-up. (FdW)

Des énergies proches d’un Crunch France-Angleterre du tournoi des 6 nations, où spectateur on termine le match épuisé. Nos neurones miroirs ont subi les assauts des hoquets du guitariste, les incessantes vagues d’accélérés du batteur, ses crescendos, ses polyrythmies – la guitare dans les hauteurs, les ouvertures de toms côté droit puis dans l’oreille gauche pendant que le guitariste fonce au centre – ruck, roulements sur les futs de gauche à droite – ouverture. Le « rideau bleu » est ici un mur de son.

Led by Heddy Boubaker, the Toulouse-based band has created a sound that defies categorization, blending elements of free jazz and psychedelic afro-latin rhythm, and more to create a truly unique musical experience which they self-described as "post-pfunk-afro-voodoo-weird-free-rock".
With 'Au nombre de joie' and 'Le bonheur des uns fait le malheur des autres', the Èch make up two little gems of music that take us back to a time when every note, every instrument was carefully thought out, down to the last detail, a time when music was made simply right.
The artwork, created by painter, trumpeter and percussionist Walkind Rodriguez, represents with colors and shapes blending together to create oniric flames, the archetypal symbol of the band's soul, whose name is derived from a Hebrew word meaning 'fire'.
