The Top Out Aero (TOA) system adapted for skydiving, created by Ted Atkins and developed by the Everest Skydive core team, has been used for a decade for multiple events. After Ted Atkins passing in 2018, the TOA system development wasn’t fully achieved and stayed as a serial prototype project.
It is the end of the TOA systems, as the few remaining systems are over 10 years old now, which is their service life. We understand that some experimental prototype systems have been acquired by third parties from the possessions of the late Ted Atkins and Tom Noonan. While previously experimental they are now considered unairworthy and beyond intended service life. We explicitly condemn the use of these systems for skydiving and recommend their quarantine and destruction.
Therefore, the involved companies in the creation and development of this system such as HALO2 and Top Out Aero decline all liability concerning the use of these systems for any kind of skydiving activities.

Organisation d’une session HALO:
Briefing général sur la discipline HALO, présentation du matériel, sensibilisation aux risques liés à la haute altitude, spécificités au parachutisme en haute altitude.
Briefing personnalisé pour chaque sautant ou groupe de sautant en fonction des disciplines pratiquées, freefly, wingsuit, formation…
Inspection du matériel, parachute, casque, gant, altimètre, lunette adaptée.
Rigging, équipement de chaque sautant HALO avec le système HALO2 Summit, double verification par 2 opérateurs au sol.
Dernière verification et briefing par l’opérateur HALO, chef de soute, à l’embarquement.
Durant la rotation, l’opérateur HALO monitore les sautants et active les systèmes.
Largage.
Atterrissage et déséquipement.

Un saut HALO n’est pas un saut classique avec plus d’altitude, c’est une spécialisation qui requiert beaucoup de technicité et d’expérience. L’équipe HALO2 est forte d’une expérience significative dans les sauts en haute altitude, nous avons organisé de nombreuses sessions HALO civiles et militaires ainsi que de nombreux records:
Le plus haut saut en tandem, à 11404m.
Le plus haut atterrissage en parachute, à 6145m.
Le plus haut atterrissage en tandem, à 5365m.

World Guinness Record of the Highest Tandem Skydive, 11 373 m / 37 313 Ft.
Today, Tandem Pilot Arkadiusz Majewski and his passenger Jim Wigginton performed a HALO Tandem at a record altitude of 11 373 m from a balloon in Poland. Jim has now broken several World Records in association with the Michigan University for the profit of "Punya Thyroid Cancer Research Foundation".
