Tee-hee - raised a smile in the office this morning - below ground WCs in pubs are always a headache - if it’s not the potential trip hazards it’s the drainage and if it’s not the drainage it’s the ventilation
The music is on, the decorators are decorating, the electricians are electrifying, the sun is sunning. Everyone trying to get another project complete.
‘Might have something a bit different for you Zoe’ they said!!! They weren’t kidding…..thinking caps on

This amused us this morning but the message is true. Designers are ‘on the job’ 100% of the time not just whilst at the drawing board - looking for ideas and inspiration all the time.

Loving these graffiti art prints by - there is something about the ‘Meat Raffle’ one that particularly raises a smile - will definitely be finding its way to a Mood Board for next pub for out.

The 16,000 baubles which cover the walls and ceiling of are a reminder that colour, creativity and great design can brighten our days even in the darkest of times. Wishing all our friends, colleagues and customers a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year!
We promised a look inside the at Combe and here it is! The Pig Hotels are widely regarded as having redefined the aesthetics of country hotels in recent years. The seamless blend of antique and modern results in a charmingly eclectic style that looks like it has evolved over time. The balance between ‘faded’ and ‘grandeur’ has been masterfully struck. The rustic interior of the restaurant allows for comfortable, unpretentious dining with a seasonal menu featuring local produce. The elegant yet cosy lounges invite you to while away the hours in front of a an open fire, with a well-stocked bar on hand to keep the mood mellow
We’re working on a very large scheme at the moment - all a bit top secret until we start coming out of the ground...interiors all designed now onto externals mood boards and with external spaces at a prime and 3 huge trade garden spaces this is going to be exciting.
It’s not long until some of our friends in the hospitality industry can reopen their doors. Some of our favourite (and most festive!) doors to go through belong to the . This is The Pig at Combe in Devon which is a Grade 1 listed Elizabethan manor house dating back to 1572. As is the case with all of The Pig hotels, part of the extensive grounds consist of herb and vegetable gardens where many of the ingredients used by the restaurant are grown. What can’t be produced on site is sourced as locally as possible resulting in a menu that reflects both the seasons and the surrounding area. The Pig hotels are as well known for their eclectic interiors are they are for their amazing food so stay tuned for a peak at what lies beyond this gorgeous door!
’s dining pods are a great way to enjoy iconic London views while being protected from the elements. They’re styled as cosy ‘igloos’ in the winter, beachy ‘surf shacks’ in the summer and are perfect for socially distant dining! Coppa Club makes seasonal changes to both their food and cocktail menus so there’s always a new reason to visit.
Decisions, decisions - red or blue....
One we completed a while back but they have produced a fabulous video showing their ability to remain Covid secure whilst keeping their mojo wits about them 🍸
Lots of our clients are asking for outside/inside dining spaces so they can (hopefully) keep trading through the Wintery months.
Day 1 of new works on site in an old Victorian pub in Deptford and we find a hidden doorway.....
Despite the impossibly difficult circumstances another extension completed. The additional space has enabled the pub to zone and comply with social distancing. Thank you to and and .star.standon
As if we didn’t have our hands full dealing with plague and fire now we have floods to contend with for a number of clients!
Outside / inside dining - spring blossom and garden fireplaces.
Revisiting some of our garden schemes for clients hoping to make the most of their pub gardens
Loving this antiqued effect on this splash back. It will look great on a backfit with POS bottles displayed in front
Latest scheme nearing completion
Loving the deconstructed wall juxtaposing the baby pink leather in the photo of Lazy Cats Cafe by Candy Landz

Thankful that the planners are still working through planning apps. Listed Building consent granted for re-roofing works on pub roof in Suffolk
Could this be a way forward for our pubs and restaurants? Contactless self serve beer dispense - rather than a touch screen it would need to be app based.
Pubs have always been a hub for great celebrations - The Feathers, Lambeth, London 1945.
Could pub gardens be key to getting our pubs back up and running? We like the thought of being able to see our friends and family Al Fresco style.
