NICHT NUR IN DEN GROSSSTÄDTEN, AUCH IN DER PROVINZ MÜSSEN DIE KLEINEN CLUBS UND PRIVATEN VERANSTALTER UM GELD UND PUBLIKUM KÄMPFEN. WER DIESE ARBEIT AUS LIEBE ZUR MUSIK UND ZU DEN MUSIKERN MACHT, MÖCHTE SICH NICHT SCHÄMEN MÜSSEN, WENN NACH DEM KONZERT DIE ABENDKASSE/SPENDENBOX GEÖFFNET WIRD.

2023 is over. It was not a great moment in human history. Good moments had to be sought in private.We revived our house concerts after four long years, with a success we hadn't expected. We met wonderful people again and got to know new ones. Great artists who gave us moving moments and made us forget the daily grind for a few hours. Let's hope there are more such bright spots in a New Year that otherwise offers little cause for optimism.

This year's first snowflakes. Waiting for more. Now the year is almost gone and will soon be a thing of the past, as is our last concert. Only the poster on the barn door still reminds of it. ❄️❄️☃️
Yes, the Backwater House-Concerts are finally back at the Hofhaus Odenhoven! That was by no means certain, but the new start with the great Jackie Bristow and the ravishing ARIELLA has been all the more successful. Let's hope it continues like this for a little longer! So that the memories don't fade so quickly, we have put together a few photos before the year finally comes to an end. You can find the two albums with a small selection of the two concerts under "all photos". Have fun with them!

"Ich danke dem "Local Guide" Andy, dass er dieses Thema aufgemacht hat. Nehmen wir an, er weiß einfach wenig über das Business, aber immerhin lenkt er den Blick auf ein Problem, dass alle kleinen Veranstalter teilen. Die vielen Kommentare machen wiederum zuversichtlich, dass es auch Leute gibt, die unser Angebot zu schätzen wissen. (Unsere Backwater House-Concerts haben gottseidank ein treues Stammpublikum) Noch besser als ein freundlicher Kommentar wäre allerdings, öfter mal hin zu gehen 😉 50% Auslastung reicht auf Dauer nicht zum Überleben....

Uns aber eine minderwertige Bewertung zu geben, weil Dir das Konzert zu schlecht besucht war (50% der Tickets waren verkauft) finden wir echt bescheiden. Du kritisiert die €12,- (9,- wären es im VVK gewesen) für eine Band
- die Gage möchte
( 3 Personen, aus Bern angereist, Instrumente, Proben)
- Hotelzimmer in Konstanz benötigt
- Eine Anlage die richtig Geld gekostet hat
- Personalaufwand
- GEMA
- Strom
- Gästen, die bei Konzerten deutlich weniger Umsatz machen, als im Barbetrieb
