Lovely review of 'My Primrose Fantasy" from Neil March:
"If, like me, you’re a lover of unusual rhythmic configurations, spine-tingling jazz harmonics mixing with delicious dissonances, impressive musicianship and striking female vocals, you will find all this in Astrakan’s My Primrose Fantasy. There are some very modal passages where sax plays against ethereal chords and bass drives things along, sometimes harmonising itself on two strings. All the instrumentalists are quality performers and the vocals, while absent for long perdios, add another layer of beautifully bitter sweet flavour to this tasty dish of a track"
