The telephone box that stands in the entrance to Burlington House in Piccadilly looks deceptively like many others. It is actually the wooden prototype of his design submitted to the General Post Office in 1924 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. He proposed they should be silver but the GPO instead decided on red.
