We have published our Pre-Submission Local Plan (2019-2038).
Having an up-to-date Local Plan means that the Council can approve much needed new development in the best locations as well as challenge proposals, if and when needed, in less desirable locations.
Representations on the Local Plan Pre-Submission document can be submitted to the council until noon on 20 September 2024.
We’ve already acted on feedback on earlier versions, so comments should be focused around the legal compliance of the plan, and if it meets the test of national policy.
The proposed plan is published on our website at https://www.surreyheath.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/planning-policy/development-plan/new-local-plan and printed copies are also available at libraries and the council offices.
