Today marks a year since one of my best friends in the entire world Katie Johnman at age 41 was diagnosed with breast cancer.

12 months of tough treatment, chemo, radiotherapy, surgery not to mention ongoing medication she has amazingly come through the other side. And made it to 42.

I can't describe the importance of her being in our lives and here to see her little boy grow up, so ladies, PLEASE CHECK YOUR LEMONS πŸ’›πŸ’›

Yesterday I gathered together with a beautiful bunch of Mountain Queens who, whether they were aware of it or not, in their own individual way all needed a little extra tlc, special care and their own full attention.

Each of you were intuitively guided to spend the day with us, surrounded by glorious mountain glimmer to nurture body and soul.

Thank you Goddesses for putting your time, your day, your feet, your trust in my hands.

I''ve been guiding regular weekly yoga classes in the French Alps since 2015.

I have always been naturally introspective. An introvert who veers away from noise and crowds. I am a typical highly sensitive. Prone to anxiety. Easily overwhelmed. Although I appear calm on the outside I often experience a complex inner narrative. I am happiest alone in nature, a huge meadow, underneath a tree, nose in a book, skiing solo down a mountain, a blowy walk on the beach.

I was drawn to the spiritual East from a young age. Intrigued by the ancient wisdom of those who have come before us. Having always felt everything (a little too!) deeply and after visiting India, Yoga slowly but surely secured its place in my heart and became a sacred and essential part of my daily routine, and has been for over 20 years.

The physical benefits of my regular practice are many, but the emotional benefits are life changing.

Yoga is so much more than just physical movement.

Yoga has helped uncover a calmer, gentler, more aware me. I am less anxious, less reactive. More in tune with nature and all her seasons. Kinder and more understanding of self. Through bringing together body and mind with breath and movement, my personal practice has heightened my awareness of self, how the ego mind is separate from our true self.

Yoga has also led me to explore the traditions of Reflexology and Reiki. Our bodies hold, react and interact with energy in all kinds of weird and wonderful ways.

I am never done learning.
Love sharing the knowledge.

Being so sensitive, I have discovered a gift to really align with my students and clients. I love being guided by you, to reach your goals, to help you listen and reveal what your own self wants from our sessions.

I rarely plan a class. I begin. I sense. I listen. We move to the energy in the room. What comes is organic, intuitive, fluid. Healing.

A gentle but regular yoga practice offers countless physical and emotional benefits. You will feel stronger, calmer, more open, more grounded.
During each class we gently and mindfully work our way through the body, with particular focus on troublesome areas like the lower back, hips, and neck. We work with lengthening poses aimed at decompressing the spine, making you feel taller and improving posture. We work with twists, folds, and twisted folds to aid digestion, lymphatic drainage, stimulate the endocrine system. We improve core strength through transitional or longer held poses and mindful breathing.
We encourage balance as we connect physically to the earth, our feet, and tendons and muscles within joints. Arms, wrists and shoulders gain tone and strength from weight bearing poses (modified for all levels of strength).

Full on scary s**t, everyday necessity, intriguing curiosity, I try but too hard/easy, too weird, hippy crap, just breathing, whatever it is that comes to mind for you.

The benefits? So many.
Calming, insightful, healing, restorative. Both spiritually and physically.

We can be so self destructive with our negative internal monologue, constant "work harder you are not enough" self talk that it becomes normal and after time we don't even notice the damage we are self-inflicting.

Self care can be as simple as taking a break from your day or routine to stop. Listen. Breathe. Not react. To help your mind and soul PAUSE. Hit the RESET button. Find a little SPACE, QUIET and TIME to do nothing, say nothing, BE nothing.

To listen. To be. To accept.

Dedicate time to ritual and invite calm.

Pure Yin on a Tuesday offers time to marinate in stillness while introducing deep awareness of the breath to improve flexibility, joint health and a purer connection to body and mind.

Sacred Space on Friday offers time to develop a harmony between breath and movement. Fluid intentional poses and slow flows to open the fascia of the body, giving the body the time and space it needs to create a feeling of freedom and openness.

Both classes are suitable to all levels including novice. Both classes are perfect for introducing yourself to a meditation practice, using short guided meditations and breathing techniques, mindfulness and awareness. In both classes we use music, aromatherapy, cushions, blankets, eye pillows and mantras to develop a calmer, deeper state of relaxation.

I am Nina, a YTT200 certified Yoga Teacher lucky enough to live in the beautiful Abondance Valley region of the French Alps. I have studied and practiced in India, Switzerland, Sri Lanka and Thailand. I have been practicing Yoga and a blend of Yoga and Pilates for almost 20 years and teaching every week for over 4 years. I am INDIV YOGA trained. A style dedictated to the individual and their unique needs. I teach Vinyasa Yoga. A soothing, calming, yet strengthening β€˜flow’ style of yoga which focuses on cultivating the body mind connection through flowing movements linked to the breath. My style of Yoga is particularly focused on the core and I always work on strengthening and toning the whole body in each session, crown to toes.

I incorporate a full range of asanas and love to include balancing postures and holding each pose to improve stamina, which in turn improves muscle tone. Through the use of meditiation techniques my goal is to help you quiet the mind and promote wellbeing, feelings of inner peace, tranquility and calm.

I also practice and teach Yin Yoga. A super slow and deeply relaxing style which involves fewer poses, held for longer intervals, to target deep connective tissue within the joints, opening the hips and stretching the lower back. This style also helps to open energy (prana) channels throughout the body, as well as releasing physical and emotional tension and vastly improving flexibility. It is a great compliment to your ususal 'yang' practice, or any form of physical exercise. Total relaxation!


Classes always start and close with gentle neck and shoulder stretches and finish with a guided relaxation in Savasana.

Classes run all year round, although location and schedule does change with the seasons.
