Friends in Harmony start back in the church for weekly rehearsals and they're looking for new voices to take part in the fun! You don't need to be a great singer, just willing to have a go and join in, and be part of something that, all together, sounds fabbie and is a huge amount of fun! We've a Big Band Music Night on Monday 9th September, 7:30pm until about 9:15pm, with the Dyce Community Music Group entertaining us with two music sets and an interval for refreshments. Anybody that was at last year's concert will remember the great evening we had then - it's time to do it again!

Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £3 for kids, and that includes tea, coffee, juice, and some great home bakes during the interval.

Doors open at 7pm for a prompt start at 7:30. Tickets are available on the door on the night, or in the church over the next two Sundays. Come along for a great couple of hours feel-good entertainment!

Sunday 25th August, 11am prompt, our Sunday morning family service is in the church and online. Join us if you can, and be part of something bigger than all of us, for all of us.

Sunday School is back this week and our leaders have big creative plans!

The service is followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and cake, and a chance to catch up with what's happening with folk and with the life and work of Aberdeen Hillside.

We've been having a think about what happens around the Sunday morning family service. Everybody enjoys a chance to get together over a cup of tea or coffee and a fine piece, so we've rearranged things at the back of the church to get some tables and chairs in place so folk can put the world to rights in comfort :)

Also, where families with young children are in church over the holidays when we've no Sunday school running, they're welcome to sit here during the service as well!

It's a bit of an experiment for us and we'll be glad of any feedback, good or bad, and any ideas to make it a valued part of a Sunday with us :)

Sunday again and we're going into the schools' summer holidays! Today's the last day of Sunday School for the duration of the holidays because our leaders go off at different times, our kids go away at different times so, unfortunately, we can't guarantee that there will be enough adults around, nor kids to join in!

Today's the picnic though - games on the grass outside if it's warm & dry - not looking like it - so most likely keep things inside the wee hall and have some fun there :)

It's Sunday and we're looking forwards to our family church service at 11am. Everybody is welcome at Aberdeen Hillside, no matter what connection you have with church - as a long-time member, an occasional attender, or maybe you don't have a connection at all and are thinking about exploring what church might mean to you?

We've folk come along with family, children and friends, and we've folk come along by themselves. Either way, being part of our congregation is being part of our church family, and we'll be glad to help you find your place in the church. Next week is Christian Aid week. Starting on Sunday 12th, the week's focus this year is on poverty and Christian Aid has chosen 1 Corinthians 13:13 as its core message.

Sunday morning family worship begins at 11am. An hour's peace, prayer and reflection, a time to think of ourselves and others, those nearby, those far away.

There's Sunday School for the young ones, fun, crafts, Bible story, and after the service we all cone together again for coffee, tea & juice, biscuits & cake, and some great company.

BEETLE DRIVE! An evening of fun for all the family! Anybody who can throw dice can play, no skills needed, no strategy to plan, just the tiniest bit of artistic talent to draw a beetle bit by bit, and a good loud shout when you win!

We've prizes, there's plenty of refreshments, and lots of fun!

Adults £5, kids £3, refreshments included, pay on the door on the night, entry from the Rosehill Drive hall door. All proceeds go to support the life and work of the church :)

Sunday 14 April at 11am, our family worship service is for anybody and everybody. It doesn't matter if you're a regular churchgoer, a 'Christmas and Easter' attender, or just looking to explore your personal connection with faith and church, we'll look forward to welcoming you and to letting you 'do church' at your own pace.

We've Sunday school for the younger ones - a mix of crafts, activities and Bible stories - and hymns and songs both traditional and modern throughout the service. Good Friday evening service, in the church at 7PM. Everybody's welcome to be part of our friendly congregation sharing worship on this momentous day in the church.

It's Holy Week, Easter Week, as we follow Jesus's journey from triumphal entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday through the Last Supper, betrayal, crucifixion, and resurrection on Easter Sunday.

On Thursday 28th at 7PM we have a short service of worship and communion marking Maundy Thursday. The word 'maundy' comes from the same source as 'mandate' or 'commandment', and its focus is on Jesus's new commandment: And now I give you a new commandment: "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34)

Come and join us in the church from about 6:45PM on. Communion is open to all and is a remembering of Jesus's actions at the table of the Last Supper, when he broke bread and shared wine with his disciples, saying to them, "Do this in memory of me." (Luke 22:19). We take bread and wine to help us remember these momentous events.
