With the recent cost of living crisis I just feel I need to make a post. The cost of everything has risen exponentially and that's the same with paint and painting supplies and unfortunately labour costs...
We are living in a very competitive world and undercutting has become something that tradesmen and women have been pushed to do.
When you have a quote and you ask for a certain type of paint or finish you will be promised those things, but in reality in order to cut the cost of the job, what you have been promised you will not receive.
I am still delivering the same products quoted and the standard of finish I always have... but I constantly battling with "I've gone with the cheaper quote" but cheaper isn't always better. We are fully insured and use paints which are guaranteed. We won't cut corners to finish the job quicker so we can get more in... in a new world we are working to old fashioned standards of excellent craftsmanship. So please when you look at a quote and see a couple of hundred pounds difference (people who aren't true trade will go further than this for many reasons, they are just starting out, dont pay insurance, its not their main occupation, the list goes on) please remember the hidden cost of this. We need to manage expectations and if you want exceptional work which will last, don't cut corners for a one or two hundred pounds, because in the long run the work will need doing again if its not done right in the first place, and if the trades person is not insured and damages something in your home, the costs could run much higher. Please look at our reviews and images of past works. We have worked for a very long time to hone our craft and are extremely competitive when working like for like if its done honestly.
