It wasn’t our day today in the Division 3 Cup Quarterfinal. With a slightly depleted team and only 3 substitutes, some players were played out of their normal positions.

Take nothing away from Biddenden Sunday though. They played well. Good luck in the semifinals.

First and foremost, I wish Tom Lockyer a speedy recovery, and send best wishes to him and his family.

This incident shows how important it is to have trained first aiders at football matches. Ashford Dynamo Football Club is lucky enough to have a Paramedic at our matches, and have purchased a defibrillator thanks to the support of Kenhire Limited.

I urge all teams in the Ashford & District Sunday Football League to consider spending just 2 hours and £30 on an FA ‘Introduction to First Aid in Football’ online course (valid for 3 years).

This course will help you to:
Understand The FA concussion guidelines and the appropriate first aid for players with head injuries
Know when a player is experiencing difficulty breathing
Know the signs and symptoms of life-threatening conditions and potential first aid initial management
Recognise an injured or ill player
Perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

This Sunday we meet Biddenden FC Mens Sunday League in the quarter-final of the Division 3 Cup at Sandyacres Sports & Social Club (hopefully!)

Fixture Update:

Ashford Dynamo are through to Round 3 of the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy following our win against Kings Hill Spitfires back in September. We were due to play in Round 3 in November, but our opponents were being investigated for a rule breach. This has meant a lengthy delay in the Competition, with 3 possible dates given and past. We are now awaiting confirmation of a new opponent, with a possible match date of Sunday 7th January.

This situation has also lead to us only playing 1 Division 3 game in November, with uncertainty in being able to arrange a match for this Sunday.

As it stands, our next match is confirmed for Sunday 17th December - a Division 3 Cup match against Biddenden Sunday at Sandyacres.

Ashford Dynamo are saddened to hear of the passing of 9-year old Felix Stevens, who played for Ashford United FC Official U10s. Today we came together with Appledore FC mens Sunday team in holding a minute silence.

Heartbreak as ‘confident and happy’ youth football player dies aged 9 A football club has revealed the devastating news that one of its youth players has died at the age of just nine.

Cannot fault the lads’ efforts today. We went into the game 5 places below Shadoxhurst in the table, who had won 5 from 5.

They’ve had results of 5-1, 3-0, 4-1, 3-2 and 7-0 in the league, so for Shadoxhurst to beat us 1-0 shows just how much of a fight we put up, how much effort we put in, how much of a team we are!

No game next week, so our next match is in Round 3 of the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy at home to Titans FC on Sunday 26th November at 10:30

Only 1 Division Three game survived this weeks weather, and that saw Biddenden Sunday beat Egerton Reserves 9-2. No real change to the table.

Fingers crossed the weather improves and we get to play next week away to Shadoxhurst at The Ridge 🤞

Our match at home against Bromley Green on Sunday is POSTPONED.

Sandyacres have advised there will be no football this weekend.
