Once upon a time...

Welcome to the home of Curtis Ferris Design. Who is Curtis Ferris? Well let me share with you were it all began to get to here today.

In 2011 I decided to join Textiles for my ALevels and there is where my love for costume began. I had always had a love for theatre and knew I wanted to be a part of it somehow. After school I set off to university to study Fashion and Textile design to build my knowledge of construction and grow my fabric knowledge.

After graduation it was a difficult time to get into anything costume or fashion related. I did a huge range of different jobs just to get by. Including cleaning, waitering and temp work. After moving from job to job for a year I ended up becoming a visual merchandiser for Marks and Spencers. I thought this was going to be the job I was in for the rest of my life until a stroke of luck appeared.

I was ask to be a party decorator for a close family friend of a Hawaiian themed party and was asked to knock her up a frock to wear. Little did I know that would be where everything started fitting into place. I met the granddaughter of our family friend and she introduced me to a producer. From this I quit my job and set off to Scotland to go on top with Friendsfest.
