Good News...East Ren is now accepting visitors again!
Come and play the course ranked No.1 in Renfrewshire by www.top100golfcourses.com
We have made 2 tee times available each day; 13:04 & 15:28 (Monday to Friday) and one tee-time, 15:04 on a Sunday, starting from Thursday 27th August.
Tee times can be booked up to 14 days in advance, be quick though, as we have limited availability.
The cost of a visitor round is; ยฃ120 for a 2-Ball, ยฃ165 for a 3-Ball and ยฃ200 for a 4-Ball.

If the tee times have not been sold 24hrs prior to play taking place they will be released again and become available for members to book.
Our food & beverage operation is up and running again for visitors and is open daily from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
If you are thinking of joining East Ren then book a visitor tee time and if you join within 7 days of playing your visitor round then we will credit the cost of your individual green fee against your annual subscription.

Round 3, Moving day in Father v Son championship 2020....
With Father 6 shots clear in the championship, it was up to son to get off to a fast start. He done just that as he started with a birdie at one, only to be matched by father. Both players missed their birdie putts at the 2nd settling for pars, son then missed a 5ft putt on 3 to apply the pressure on father who could only make par after getting up and down.
On 4 Son nailed a drive over the left hand trees to leave himself 25yds to pin, a chip & putt for easy birdie. He applied more pressure on 5 when he holed from 20 ft for birdie, Father could only manage pars at both 4&5 with the scores -3 son & Father -1.
With a 30mph wind off the sea 6 & 7 proved difficult for both players as consecutive bogeys were had. Another superb drive on 8 down wind seen son reach the green in one, unfortunately his eagle putt was marginally short, father replied on 9 as his drive was 10 yds short of the green, he then nearly holed it for eagle with a lovely chip and run that stopped in the jaws of the hole.

The back nine started with father pulling two shots back as son dropped back to level par after bogeys at 10 & 11. It was relatively boring golf as both players made pars at 12 & 13 before son dropped another shot at 14 , he quickly redeemed himself at 15 with birdie. Father was on a par streak & it was not until 16 he made his first mistake of the back nine dropping 1 shot to son, son would go on to finish level par but it wasnโt over for father has he blocked himself out on 18, he then tried to play to the side of trees and leave himself a lengthy 3rd into green but hit the trees, and down into the ditch, with a dropped 3rd he could only manage double bogey to allow son back into the championship.

Birdie fest at seafield after a slow start from both players.
Bogeys on the first at seafield is a common start, and both father & son did not fail to disappoint. Another bogey at the second for father seen him start bogey,bogey, par, bogey through 4 with son only dropping shots at 1 & 3.
Both players shaved the hole at 5 for birdie, it was a sign of things to come as holes 6 & 7 seen father make birds at both with son only managing pars. The last of bogeys in this round, well double bogey came at the 9th as son dropped a further 2 shots and made the turn +4 with father on +1.
Son set the tone for the back 9 by reducing fathers lead to one shot scratch with birdies at 10 & 11, father then replied with birdie at 12.
13,14 & 15 seen both players make par . The 16th produced shotโs of the day as both players drove the green to within 15ft unfortunately both eagle putts failed to drop this time, tap in birdies.
Father -1 and son +1 scratch with 2 holes to go. Both players made par at 17. Son trying to cut fathers lead down had the driver in hand from the back tees on 18, he nailed it with a cut round the dogleg and onto front edge of green to within 25ft, father with a cautious approach had the 5 iron off the tee, to leave 86yds & duly getting up and down for par , sons eagle putt was just shy but did manage to reduce fathers lead to 1 shot scratch for the round.
Father said โafter a slow start we settled in to our game, we new seafield produces birdies, we just had to be patientโ he added โ sons back nine was awesome to watch & made the game look simple, after being +4 at the turn to come back in -4 and level par is quality golf, unfortunately not enough to get out of making dinner tonightโ. Son said โimagine if I practiced โ he added โFathers lead is now 6 going into 2 rounds at Ayr Belleisle, a little practice, apply pressure early on moving day , father will collapseโ.
