Council, in partnership with Alzheimer's Society Northern Ireland and Dementia NI have announced the opening of a pop-up art exhibition which will feature inspiring artwork created by individuals living with dementia from across Mid & East Antrim and beyond.

The exhibition will be available to view from Tuesday 9 January until Saturday 20 January 2024, at The Braid, Bridge Street, , from 10am to 4pm each day.

Entry is free of charge.

*Please note the exhibition will not be open on Sunday 14 January 2024.*

Just completed a rather unusual commission for a lovely couple-acrylic painting onto their wooden cover of an electric meter box- to include painting onto the frame too! A real learning curve on how to prep and paint onto a wooden surface (all credit to Gerry for the prep)! It actually gave a lovely effect to the water and boat hull so I’ll be doing more ‘wooden’ pictures I think! Really enjoyed this experience! Thank you to this lovely couple and I hope you enjoy this new addition to your beautiful new home. Welcome to Ferragudo!😍

‘Postcards from the harbour’ completed!

Starting another 4 x 30 min pastel sketches… on a boat theme I think this time

My two little sets of “Postcards from the Praia”. Views from one spot NSE&W on Angrinha and Praia Grande. All were 30 min sketches in pastel- now as prints set in small white frames 15cm x20cm.

Finally got back to the beach to finish my 4 way views. All painted from the one spot! How lucky am I to be in Ferragudo- spoiled for composition choice. These have each been painted within 30 mins as part of the October 31 day challenge to paint one pastel per day under 30mins. Good fun!
