Here we have a set of alcove units we finished last year for here weβve done rattan doors for the base units, this is a great material to use to add extra detail and finesse to the room, rattan has been used in furniture for hundreds of years and is making a come back again ππ½ we fitted large chunky floating shelves on top we painted the units the same colour as the walls and ceiling ππͺπ¨.
Hereβs a nice and simple double porch with a gable we done before Christmas. Both neighbours get along great and decided to do it together (which always helps) πππ½a porch of this size doesnβt need planning permission and it offers a lot in terms of space to the house with a much needed entrance hall. Before the porch was built visitors would walk straight into the front room. It also makes the front of the house a big modern makeover. Thereβs a small window on each side to add light for each neighbour. Two composite doors each slightly different were fitted, which offer great security and no maintenance π·π½π§±π‘. #
Some pictures of our recently completed job in goffs oak. We have opened up the whole back of the house with a large box frame to create modern living space and make way for the new kitchen. This frame will also be able to carry the load if the client deciders at a later date to do a loft conversion π took down some more load bearing walls internally to create more space another small box frame was added. Altogether this bungalow needed 13 new steels to be fabricated and installed π€―π€―
Took a minute out of the building game to make These bespoke wardrobes π all inside carcass made out of Medite MDF. Fitted 5 soft closing under mounted draws. The rest of the space is for hanging rails and shelves. Weβve created a cornice that finishes off the top lovely and we designed a traditional looking door with the added beading Iβm a 70/30 design.
All doors, panels and cornice (everything visible from the outside) were sprayed in farrow ball paint to give that extra sleek finish π₯π¨π¨βοΈ
Hereβs a kitchen/exterior refurbishment we done last year that never made it on to my page ππ¨ On the exterior we took down the old front door and bricked it back and and replaced it with a window to create more space for the new kitchen and utility room going inside. We replaced the double glazed windows as you can see, and we fitted a new oak front door, we also built a log storage unit for the wood burner going inside!! On the inside walls got knocked down to create one long galley kitchen with a seamless pure white quartz worktop. We also had to raise the floors throughout the house to achieve a flat floor running through to the kitchen and utility room and we tiled the floor with large marble effect porcelain tiles π·π½ββοΈπ π¨.

Hereβs a few pictures before and after of our investment property we sold a few months back. The first pictures are taken from the same spot so you can see how much we changed it π€―π. We took this 2 bed house which was in desperate need of a modernisation and completely refurbished it from the ground up. We took the chimney out in the top bedroom and the now kitchen, added an extension that almost doubled the downstairs living space altogether (which is what this house was desperately lacking), created a drive out the front ready to take two cars, added a new patio and a new astroturf lawn. This house is ready to be enjoyed by a new family. π‘π¨βπ©βπ§
If carlsbergdone done decking ππ¦π A very enjoyable decking job we done last year. Here we have an iroko hardwood secret fixing deck!!
This decking is counter levered over a slope it needed steels and planning permission π€ glass balustrades still to be delivered and installed at a later dateππΎ all decking lights completed by
A mansard roof with hips and valleys we completed last year. Roof had cranked beams and 2 large skylights going in this was a big old exstension adding a lot of floor space to the property and most importantly value £££βοΈπ¨π‘
Finished this little job last week. Restoring the original parquet flooring back to its original glory π we used the Matt to finish this floor off, these are by far the most superior product out there
Looking for another new full time member to join the team, if your interested in carpentry and construction this could be the opportunity for you. Experience preferred but not necessary π·π½ββοΈπ¨βοΈ
Here we have the follow up of the last post, inside layout of the house got completely rearranged walls came down some steels had to go up in there place, and a utility room was created.
The large marble effect tiles give this kitchen a very sleek and modern finish. The utility room was done on a completely different colour and breaks it up nicely ππ½π
Here we have a before and after shot, of the front a house thatβs having a complete re-furb throughout.
Front door has been moved to provide more kitchen space and create a utility room, new windows have been put in because walls have been knocked down and have created a lot more natural light than what was there before.
Will post pictures of new bespoke kitchen soon ππΎππ½
Here we have a galley kitchen with solid oak worktops, also put down a solid oak floor through out the ground floor of the house matches Nicely with the worktops ππ½colour is a high gloss stone (grey) nice and easy to clean, tile splash back chosen by client and goes nicely with the oak through the house.
The whole room need to be re-plastered and kitchen required a whole new re-wire throughout including a new fuse board because it was so old π·π½ββοΈπ¨βοΈ
Here we have a stone coloured kitchen in matt handless finish. The MATT finish doesnβt show up fingerprints and grease as easy as the high gloss range does so they stay looking cleaner for longer, but it isnβt as easy to clean as the high gloss range.
Also fitted a tile splash back, tiles were chosen by client βοΈπ¨π‘
From 25 year old cold conservatory to brand new extension with large kitchen complete with an island. also knocked down walls and opened up the whole front room area. The house received a completed re-furb from top to bottom. π‘π·π½ββοΈπ¨
Here we have a flat roof for a wrap around extension. Also fitted a good amount of velux windows, which will allow plenty of natural light flood into their new open plan kitchen/diner. π¨βοΈπ‘
Here we have another job completed before Christmas, a nice large bathroom with both a bath and a walk in shower. Bathroom has been fitted with Groher smart control thermostat throughout. A very smart spec bathroom ππΎ
Hope everyone is enjoying the new year we at P.S carpentry have been very busy recently which is the cause of our lack of updates on social media. Weβve been doing everything from kitchens to Bathrooms, fencing to re-furbs and bespoke joinery to flooring.
Hereβs a nice period looking storage unit we finished before Christmas built in either side of the fire place, great way to create storage, tidy up mess and hide all cables running to the t.v and all itβs accessories. Built in units like this always make the room feel bigger. ββοΈ
Here we have an Edwardian style finished bathroom. It was very nice to add some carpentry back into the design, instead of having tiles floor to ceiling.
Here we have a top of the range framed kitchen in off white with sleek ultra thin worktops with curved edges to match the units. Kitchen also has matching utility room. Finished off with a brick tile splash back ππΎ
Some recent photos of different jobs with Parquet and herringbone flooring in both engineered and solid wood floor, all very popular at the minute and finishes any job to a very high spec finish ππΎππ½
Here we have a unique traditional Victorian style bathroom. We have a free standing cast iron bath, the bottom has been sprayed in a farrow and ball colour chosen by the client. they even choose Fired Earth tiles wall and floor. Very enjoyable job with great end product ππΎ
Out with the old I'm with the new. Out of date metal panel door replaced with a very smart modern wood effect composite door which is plastic and requires no maintenance whatsoever. ππΎ
Here we have a complete re design of the kitchen which was in major need of modernising. This is done in a very nice slate high gloss colour, with tiled splash back. Work top is white glass morror effect really stands out against the grey.
Door way has been blocked up to make way for a lot more work top, a small breakfast bar has been added at the end big enough for to small stools. New floor got added through the whole of down stairs in a grey oak effect. Down stairs also got re-decorated. Very happy clients ππΎ
For all the crazy pet owners that like to treat there pooch! How about treating them to a posh dinner table made out of a spare bit of granite and some mahoganyπ€£ππ½
Another kitchen refurb by p.s carpentry was in a very high need of updating! Here we can see cream high gloss units with oak laminate worktop with matching flooring. Splash back had been done in popular subway tiles ππ½
All white carcass with sprayed high gloss white finish on the doors. Perfect for teenage daughters fresh start at a new school ππ½
Here we have a bespoke made oak wine & champagne rack on top of some custom built kitchen storage units in a popular shaker style.
It was just a wasted space before now tidy's the room up and surprisingly makes the room feel a lot bigger. The only problem now is buying enough wine to fill it. ππ½
