๐Ÿ“ข Important Update: Whooping Cough Cases on the Rise

We want to inform you about a concerning trend in whooping cough cases reported by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). In March alone, there were 1,319 confirmed cases, a significant increase from previous months. Sadly, this year has already seen five infant deaths due to whooping cough.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/whooping-cough-cases-continue-to-rise

But there's some good news too! The pertussis vaccine given during pregnancy is highly effective in protecting both mothers and babies. By getting vaccinated between 16 to 32 weeks of pregnancy, or even up to birth, you can pass on crucial antibodies to your baby, giving them early protection.

We understand there may be questions or concerns about vaccination. That's why we're here to support you every step of the way. If you're pregnant or planning to be, talk to your GP about getting vaccinated against whooping cough. Let's work together to keep our families healthy and safe. ๐ŸŒŸ
