At yesterdays Pen*stone Social Hub one of the attendees wanted to share what he had taken from Talking Therapies Barnsley stress course followed by a fun quiz by Lisa from the Pen*stone area 💬

Dearne Social Prescribing drop in takes place today at BHF Goldthorpe medical centre from 8:30am 💬

Brooke, Ann & Cerys attended the home library “garden party” celebrations to share some information about our service. The event took place at Roundhouse Library which was a great success.

The next Social Prescribing community drop in takes place next Thursday at BHF Goldthorpe medical centre, this is also open to professionals and service to chat and find out more about Social Prescribing 💬

On Wednesday South area Social Prescribers Kay, Kerry & Cerys visited Angela & the group of participants attending the Fine Fettle programme.

Fine Fettle supports adults with lived experience relating to mental health to engage in outdoor activities including forest skills, wildlife identification, nature-based arts, mindfulness and much more 🌳🌻

Last week Lisa’s social group did a group “Art in your hands” session, the next group runs tomorrow 1pm-3pm at Pen*stone Leisure centre

The next Gaz’s Place men’s social group takes place Friday at 12:30pm-2pm the Acorn Centre Grimethorpe

Pen*stone area Social Prescriber Lisa has been holding weekly drop in sessions at Kingswell GP surgery.

The sessions have been a huge sucsuss in supporting and raising awareness to the people of Pen*stone, Lisa’s next drop in takes place today from 8:30am-1pm 💬

Lisa & Brooke (Central area) attended the grand opening BBQ at the new support HUB - the HUB is a safe space to support vulnerable people

In yesterday’s team meeting, Katie delivered training to expand the teams knowledge and confidence in working with survivors of sexual abuse.

This is following Katie completing the Bsarcs Barnsley PLP training 😊

This was really useful and helped the team understand how to respond to disclosures of sexual abuse. We are working hard to allow opportunities for disclosure and support for our patients! 🤲
