I’ll share this with you too…😉

This is the sneak peek I sent to my customer today, before delivery day tomorrow. 🚚

My customer purchased a restyled coffee table from me back in the summer for her coastal home in .🌊🌊🌊

On delivery, she said she would love a dresser with the same finish to match.

So, she commissioned me to recreate the same turquoise and white washed effect on a vintage pine dresser, but the first problem was… she didn’t actually have a dresser…

First job for me was to source said suitable pine glazed dresser with the perfect dimensions and the perfect style. ✔️👍

The perfect dresser was sourced on my customer’s behalf from Wiltshire and couriered to my workshop ready for it’s transformation. 👩‍🎨

But then, problem number two…
The colour I previously used for the storage coffee table unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer…☹️

But, using the power of our FREE colour matching service, the colour was easily recreated so the project could then begin! 😃🦋

Loving the coastal theme going on in my customer’s home.

I wonder what project she will have for me next!

I’m still beavering away at these chairs! 😬

I’m waiting for a big delivery of sandpaper to fine finish the bare wooden seats then we will be on the home straight. 💪

Hurray!!🙌

Not much to report…

Just sat thinking about how the set of chairs I am currently working on started out - with their shabby paint job! 😁🙄

Definitely good bones disguised. 🤣🤣

Good quality, solid, wooden dining chairs ALWAYS come at a price. £££

But finding a set of four of these solid wood chairs on our local marketplace were the perfect find… 😍

They were nowhere near in GREAT condition

It would be very generous to say they were in GOOD condition!

Literally, plastered in chalky white paint 😞

with a multitude of other mismatched colourful layers underneath…🙄

But…

underneath the welded, lumpy mess of thick paint with LOADS of the typical - ‘quick lick of paint’ runs 😡

were some rather decent solid wood chairs! 💯🙌🏆

Stripping back the layers of paint is a tiresome, but worthwhile and rewarding job.

These are coming along…

but it’s so worth the time getting it right and doing a proper job to be proud of. 😍

A double coat of primer is underway…before the double top coat.

Have a guess at what colour these are going to be when finished to compliment the stripped back wooden seats??

Black or white?? 🤔💭

The only light thing about it is it’s colour 🤣

It’s good to get back to the bare bones - but just add a touch of a little something…
to make them unique. 😍

The Vintage Trading Post’s outlets at , just outside of Taunton.

Furniture delivery will still be available, you just need to ask the friendly staff there and they will give you a price and get it organised for you. 🚚
