Saw this and had to laugh at how people lie to themselves at Christmas 🤣🤣 NEWSFLASH** calories are NOT the biggest problem when it comes to not achieving your weight loss goals.

Believe it or not, the way you've been brought up to think about your food, and the reasons you eat what you eat, are much more important than the calories you consume.

Trust me I'm a professional 😉

Here's just 2 examples for you to wrap your mind around that you may not have thought of before.

1) if you've been brought up to believe that food is not to be wasted, and that you must clear your plate before leaving the table - then chances are, if someone else cooks your meals for you, and doesn't manage the portion sizes correctly - you could be eating meals (out of ingrained responses) that are much too large for your weight loss goals.

2) If you are a woman, and during your menstrual period you allow yourself to eat certain food types because you feel drawn to them, or you have a craving for them (and you don't think it hurts for just a couple of days a month), and I do mean biscuits and cake and sweets as your body tries to take in extra sugar/glucose... Then if you don't manage the amount OR, your period comes in three weekly cycles, then you could be allowing yourself to sabotage your weight loss goals, without even realising.

One of my female clients could put on about 5lbs (2.25kg) during her period due to her eating.

This type of thinking is eradicated during my weight loss programs.

Finding about YOU and your relationship, and history, with food is THE most important part of your personal therapy with me.

Then I help you to identify what's preventing you losing weight effectively, and to understand the tricks your mind plays on you to stop you changing who it thinks you want to be and replace that with who you REALLY want to be.

Once your mind accepts the new you, so will your body.

BE CAREFUL what you read and believe - ANXIETY can be caused by bullcrap such as this!! Imagine not cleaning your teeth and it damages your brain... REALLY????

There are enough things in this world that cause us to stress and live in fear of anxiety. Posts like this picture should not be one of them.

Just because someone has taken the trouble to make a pretty picture - DOES NOT make it the truth.

If in doubt use Google search - it'll soon show you it's rubbish.

If multi-tasking damages the brain then there's a lot of parents who get their kids ready for school, as well as themselves, that are in for a nasty shock 🤣

A minor miracle is one way of explaining last night's Hypnotherapy Session with a client who suffered a stroke 3 years ago.

He suffers burning pain, every minute of every hour of every day, down the whole right side of his body. A pain that medication doesn't even touch when maximum dose is taken.

On a scale of 0 to 10, he frequently reaches a 10 a totally unbearable pain. His average pain rating is around a 7 or 8.

The pain is so bad he gets little or no sleep. He has no sensation of touch in his right arm. If he puts his arm in scalding hot water he can't feel a thing, yet if he puts it in cold water, all he can feel is burning.

Last night I sat with my client and learnt about his life, his loves, his successes and also the things that haven't gone so well for him.

Learnt about his values and his strengths.

So what? You may ask.

And I would answer that a Stroke is a huge upset to the brain function and to the way it's wired. You cannot treat a Stroke victim the way you would a fully mentally able person.

After getting to know him and gaining his trust, I tried a pain removing technique under hypnosis.

Before hypnosis his pain level was as high as an 8.

After hypnosis his pain level dropped to a 2...

Before hypnosis he had little or no movement, and no sensation of touch in his right hand (the area I was treating).

After hypnosis he could rotate his wrist, gesticulate and visibly move it at will. His sense of touch had returned so that he could feel the cool leather of his chair contact his skin.

He was amazed and delighted and quite rightly, emotional.

As he got up from his chair I noticed that he was no longer the hunched over man that was full of pain and tension that greeted me on arrival.

This man was 2 inches taller, straighter, happier, and so relaxed like it was a different man than I first met at the beginning of the evening.

Miracles do happen at Christmas - I was very fortunate to be part of this one 🥰

This man's retelling of his survival from the TITANIC some 65 years before, shows us that trauma never really leaves us.

Frank Prentice, never really looks at the interviewer for too long. He is scrunched down in his seat, his eyes hold a faraway look from time to time, and close to the end his voice cracks a little as he recounts who he is sitting next to on the lifeboat.

A normal man, doing a normal job on a normal day.

Exactly how most of us are when we have severe trauma happen to us. That is why it's so severe.

You're not trained to expect the worst, and you're certainly not trained in how to deal with it when the worst happens.

So if you're suffering, like Mr Prentice here, then seek out an expert for help and support. Then maybe 65 years after it happened, you won't be still having nightmares about it.

"I'm useless." "I'm not good at anything." "My life is worthless." "I can't do anything." When you BELIEVE that negative voice inside of you - it's the hardest thing in the world to change it.

It means to stop believing in something you have believed for a long long time, in some instances.

It IS achievable. You CAN do it.

It involves dealing with your internal belief system, and that little voice that talks to you when you're not noticing.

This is be done, both inside hypnosis and outside of it.

All thoughts, voices and beliefs are your own. You actually work on yourself, and your future perspective, as the Hypnotherapist - I guide you to accepting your new thoughts and beliefs.

I bet you don't know why you are scared of spiders!
Arachnophobia is one of the most common fears we have as adults.

So is fear of the dentist, the fear of flying and the fear of small enclosed spaces.

You may think you're scared of spiders because of their hairy legs, or they're ugly, or how fast they move.

But this is only your adult self trying to put some sense into your irrational fear. The actual reason is probably something completely different.

When you were younger, a spider might have fell out of a shoe you were putting on and it scared you, or you might have learned from your shrieking mum or dad, that spiders were to be feared.

Most phobias are learned before the age of 7. Phobias that occur after this, are usually caused through trauma.

A particularly painful visit to the dentist, with no anaesthesia, followed by a deep infection and prolonged pain would do it.

A near-miss in an airplane, where you actually thought you were going to die, where the plane banked suddenly and passengers screamed would do it.

So because you were so young when the initial scary event happened with a spider, the chances are that you don't know why you are scared of them, or any of the phobias you have from childhood.

You've probably been affected by them all of your life, and they may have even stopped you enjoying certain things or made you change your behaviour.

Phobias are another way our mind has built up a way of protecting us, in exactly the same way it keeps us away from a hot fire.

But an irrational fear can, and does, affect lives in complex and unnecessary ways.

Well I'm here to let you know that just because they have affected your life so far, you DO NOT have to carry them around with you for the rest of your life.

With Hypnotherapy Sessions you and I are able to determine a new behaviour that is acceptable. A new set of behaviours that leaves the phobia in the past forever.
