PROJECT UPDATE!

The refurb project with Epitome Renovation in Mortimer continues to progress well, just look at this tidy work from Colin!

He has done an amazing job of laying Nu-Heat Lo Pro UFH, not only does it look impressive like this (well to us anyway) here are some key benefits from Nu-Heat which we can’t recommend more highly as an economical and energy efficient alternative to a radiator solution.

🔥 Easy to install – system is laid directly over an existing floor
🔥 As a mostly dry system, there’s no waiting for thick screeds to dry
🔥 Suitable for ground and upper floors
🔥 Compatible with a wide range of floor coverings, from carpet to tiles

As this week draws to end, we wanted to advise that CHS will be laying our tools down on Monday 19th September - the day of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II funeral to pay our respects and come together with the nation to reflect on her remarkable life of service.

How you can help to keep your energy bills down, as the costs rise…

👆🏽 People think that heat only ever flows upwards, but that’s not true, it can flow in any direction.

The four main sources of heat loss in the home are:

🏚 Walls – up to 45% of heat can be lost through poorly insulated walls (cavity or solid)

🏚 Roof – up to 20% heat loss for uninsulated lofts (a bonus, if you live in a mid-level flat!)

🏚 Windows & Doors – although draughts are more noticeable, these entry points account for very little of the overall heat loss

🏚 Floor – this really depends on the age and construction, but some period properties especially those with cellars and stone foundations can amount for up to 10% heat loss

The easiest and often cheapest way to combat heat loss, is to improve your insulation, so you reduce the amount of fuel that is required to heat your home.

A well-insulated home will almost always result in a lower energy bill.

We join the nation in mourning following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

🏡Most of our projects are either new builds or redevelopment sites, where the homes aren’t occupied whilst our work is taking place.

However, this isn’t always the case and homeowners need to have confidence to live comfortably while we’re working in their homes.

🧹Our teams are always respectful and professional and ensure that they leave a client’s home; clean, tidy, and safe over a weekend, to minimise disruption and ensure we’re a team they can trust.
