We all went bananas for our banoffee pies! 🍌 The members absolutely loved our Jungle Book inspired day, full of fun laughter and a lot of monkeying around! 🙈 Delicious deserts 😁, jungle inspired crafts 🦁, and a wild disco 🪩to end the day. What more could you ask for?

Happy faces all around! 😁💜 On Friday the members enjoyed a game of bowling with their friends, we were bowled over by their skills and precision. What a great time they all had! 😆🎳

And relax… On Friday we had our very own Spa Day 🧖‍♀️ We started the day by making some “healthy” blueberry and white chocolate cupcakes 🧁 We then decided to relax with a sound bath in our on site Sensory Room 🎵 In the afternoon the members loved getting messy and creative with making their own DIY bath bombs. We the finished off the day working as a team to think of ways in which we can look after ourselves, we then put these ideas in our self-care jar 🫙💜 ‘Relax and Recharge’ 😌

We have been busy bees this week! 🐝😁 With the sun finally making an appearance, we decide to make the most of the weather by getting outside and creating bug hotels for our creepy crawlys critters that might just want to check in here at hotel JP😬🙈

Today’s theme was ‘Farm Animals’ and of course that means we must make milkshakes!😆🥛 The members helped chop the fruit, measure the milk, and blend it all together to create tasty banana milkshakes and strawberry milkshakes🍓🍌🥛 One of our members is showing us how to do ‘Milkshake’ in Makaton sign language (act out milking and shake)👏😊

Dance, Dance, Dance! 🕺🪩 Another successful dance lesson here at James’ Place Basingstoke. Dancing is a fantastic fun way to stay active, especially in a group with your friends. Here are just a few benefits of dancing : - Builds confidence - Improves balance - Boosts memory - Improves fitness

A trip to bowling was right up our alley! 🎳 The best way to stay active in this rainy weather is a trip to our local bowling alley. The members loved showing us their bowling skills and had a great time with their friends 😄💜

Fantastic Farm Fun! 🐷🐑 The members really enjoyed learning about all the different farm animals at the Hook Community Centre last week. There was whole range of engaging activities as well as wildlife talks about how we can improve the environment with our community. A lot of new ideas to take onboard! ☺️🌳

‘Never, ever underestimate the importance of having fun’ 😄🎉🎊 Yesterday, we all enjoyed a fairground inspired day. The members made their own carousels and had a go playing with bubbles and mini golf outside. The coconut shy was a big hit! 🥥 Very impressed with the members precision and aim 😁

‘Dance like no one is watching’ 🪩🕺 We are so pleased to have Tiffany back on a Wednesday for dancing. The members have been very excited to start learning new dance moves and routines. A fantastic first session, well done team 😄👍
