Positive Batting with Julian Wood – 2 hour masterclass at Bath Cricket Club this coming January 2025!
Julian is one of the leading batting coaches in world cricket. He has coached international players such as Liam Livingstone, Carlos Brathwaite, Sam Billings and Dani Wyatt. He worked with the England white ball team under Eoin Morgan, and is extremely active in franchise cricket across the world including a recent stint as batting coach of the Punjab Kings in the IPL.
A session with Julian is fun, engaging and most importantly a great development opportunity for batters at all levels. You will leave the session having learned how to play attacking cricket more safely, with an enhanced range of scoring options and an improved understanding of how to increase the scoring rate through both hitting boundaries and manipulating the field.
We are extremely fortunate to have Julian coming to Bath. There are only a handful of spaces left at this heavily reduced rate. This is about more than hitting sixes, it’s about increasing your capacity to score runs and change games.

Bath CC Partners with University of Bath CC for Movember Fundraiser
24-hour net session at Bath CC’s Cricket Centre will help University of Bath CC hit £750 Movember fundraising target...
Bath Cricket Club is delighted to announce a partnership with The University of Bath Cricket Club (UBVCC) to support Movember, the annual event raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues. UBVCC will undertake a 24-hour net session with Bath Cricket Club providing their state-of-the-art Cricket Centre for this ambitious challenge.
The entire University cricket club, totalling 70 players from the 1st XI to the 5th XI men’s team and from all the women’s team, will participate in this event. The 24-hour net session will run from 7am on Saturday 23rd November to 7am on Sunday 24th November, with players rotating in two-hour time slots. The 24-hour net session, in addition to a number of other unique fundraising challenges, aims to raise £750 between the teams.
In addition to the net session, individual teams will take on unique challenges to further support the cause. For instance, The UBVCC 1st XI will embark on a journey from Lord’s Cricket Ground to Chester-le-Street in Durham, visiting every county along the way (virtually). Meanwhile, the 2nd XI will climb Snowdon in their cricket whites.
Scott Sandford, Chairman at Bath Cricket Club, said:
“We are thrilled to support The University of Bath Cricket Club in their efforts to raise funds for Movember. This event not only highlights the importance of men’s health but also brings our community together for a great cause.”
Hamish Bell from The University of Bath Cricket Club, added:
“We’re really pleased to be partnering with Bath Cricket Club for this fundraiser, who has been very supportive to our club with facilities and coaching over many years. Our aim of raising £750 is an ambitious target, but with the support of Bath CC and the local community, our eyes are firmly set on completing the variety of challenges we have set to help ensure that we reach our target.”
