I hope you are all doing well, as result of the poor weather and taking into consideration health and safety, I have decided to cancel today's classes. If you have already paid for today class, I have made a note and credited it to your next session. In the meantime, to make for the lack of no class today. I will be posting some home workout tomorrow, that can be done at home with minimal or no equipment.

Spot fat removal myth and how to effectively loss fat and keep it off
I have had a few clients over past week, ask me how to do targeted fat loss, which motivated me to write this post. At the time of this post, a disproportionate number studies have shown that you can't do targeted fat loss. Instead when trying to loss weight loss should on overall weight loss.
To do this, you have to focus on a one simple concept, calories in and calories out. In a layman's term if your expending more calories then you consume, then you will see weight loss. This can be achieved in one of two ways:
A) Decreasing the number of calories you are consuming
B)Increasing the calories that you expend
In the case of the latter, in order to help with this we are increasing the number of classes available and also be posting some simple home workouts over the next few weeks that can help in increasing activity.
In regards to calories in, this brings us to diet. Personally while diets will help you loss weight in the short term, they are not ideal for maintaining weight loss and keeping the weight off in long terms as result, of the restrictive nature of diets. Diets are not conclusive to health, just see the Tw***ie diet for reference.
Instead what I recommend, is download a calorie counter such as MyFitness Pal and track your intake for next two weeks, ideally a month, don't make any changes just observe.
As well as tracking your intake during the day take pictures of each of your meals and aim to have 3-4 a day, this will help with accountability, while also giving a bit leeway when it comes to small snack between meals.
Once you have that data, look at it to see where you can make changes and substitutes and then begin gradually incorporating them. Work out what your daily calorie needs would be, and then for weight loss focus on a 10 to 20% reduction.
Finally, focus on weekly total as opposed to daily, for example if to achieve your goal your daily calorie intake is 2000 calories, then set aim for your weekly total of 14,000. This means you can adapt your calorie intake during the week to compensate for events taking part that week, so that your still meeting your goal.

I am happy to announce a few changes to our line up of classes from next week we will have an additional mixed adult class Wednesday evening, like the morning classes, it 45 minute session and is open to beginner and advance alike.
The first of our ongoing Wednesday classes will start at 7PM and I hope to see you all there.

Tomorrow is the 1st June, which as of the moment this post goes live has been rechristened as Leg month.
June's challenge is the 100 squat challenge, 100 squats everyday, pick the variation that works for you and get started.
To help you get started I have selected a few potential workouts that you can use to reach your hundred a day. These can be done in one single workout or spread across the day.
Potential workouts
5 Sets of 20 Squats
20 sets of 20 reps
10 sets of 10 reps
Complete pyramid up to 10 and back (total 100 reps)
i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

It's Thursday evening, it's almost the weekend, just reminder we have three classes going on this weekend. Saturday we will have the adults class at 10AM and the children's class at 12.30AM.
There will then be a third class on Sunday at 10AM, this class will be free all we ask is after the class you make a small donation to a charity of your choice.
If there is anything you want me to cover this weekend let me know and in the meantime, hope you all have a lovely evening and remember to keep training hard.
Two seems to be a running theme for me today; two classes today, two personal training sessions today, two posts in one day and two cups of coffee today (squared).
Since next weekend is a three day weekend, I will be doing an additional adult class next Sunday. This will be a free class but with a catch, if anyone wants to attend you can, however the catch is that you make a donation to a charity of your choice afterwards.
I will be donating to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, who my grandad was a huge advocate for. I have included the link below if anyone else wants to make a donation to them and I hope to see everyone next Sunday 10AM.

Another Saturday, another fantastic two classes today. It so amazing to see our classes growing in size and everyone enjoying our class. As a result of the increased number, we will be decreasing the price from £8 to £6 per person for our adult class from next week. This is our way to say thank you to everyone who has been turning up consistently since our launch in April, as well as encourage more people to join our group.
Along with the price decrease, we will also be increasing the number of classes per week, over the next month and have further announcements coming soon.
I can't wait till our next class to see everyone again and in the meantime, keep on training hard. 🏋🏋
