So, you’re into Bath! 🎉 We know that moving to a brand new city can be daunting, and it can be hard to get your bearings at first. Come and familiarise yourself with some top tights and join the FWEM’S on a walking tour of Bath City, where we cover the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, University of Bath work spaces, Southgate (the best area for shopping) and more! (And yes, for anyone wondering – we did go well over our daily steps for this video😰).
Welcome to the heart and soul of the SU – the Plug and Tub! 🛀 The Plug and Tub are the SU bar and club (and is somewhere we can guarantee you’ll spend a huge amount of your time over the next 3-4 years). The Plug is more than just a place to grab a quick bite or drink – it’s your go-to location for unwinding, meeting new friends and creating unforgettable memories 🙌 We’ve got a Starbucks (cheapest Starbucks in the city!), pool tables, darts boards, cosy sofas and more. Feel free to bring your own food along or grab some food from our brand-new bar menu – we’d highly recommend the bagels. In the evening, expect the Plug and Tub to come alive with themed nights such as Tuesdays Plug Quiz, Thursdays Mixology, as well as our big nights out with Wednesdays Score and our new Saturday Tub Nights. With Drag Bingo, Oktoberfest and a range of alcohol free drinks – there really is something for everyone 🥂 We truly want you to treat the Plug and Tub as your home away from home and we can’t wait to start to get to know you all! 💙💜
We wanted to introduce you to Jimena, our SU President 🤩 A massive congratulations to everyone receiving results today! 🎉 We can’t wait to welcome you in September and neither can your SU President, Jimena and the rest of the SU Officer team. All that’s left to do now is grab your FW23 wristband (which go on sale September 11) and finally relax for the rest of the summer. 🥳
🎉 Quick FWEM Update! 🌟 In case you missed our introduction a few weeks ago, we are Millie, Matisse and Syed and we are your Freshers Week Event Managers (AKA – we are in charge of planning your entire Freshers’ Week!) We've been really busy the past few weeks, so we just wanted to give you a quick update on everything we’ve been working on. Our main focus has been event planning, risk assessments and making sure the website was ready for launch. Freshers’ Week is finally starting to take shape and we can’t wait to tell you more! Stay tuned for more updates!

The Plug & The Tub
The SU has an on campus bar and nightclub venue called The Plug & The Tub!
The go-to campus spot to meet with friends, have a few drinks, play pool, chill with a coffee, or dance the night away at our regular club nights.
The largest nightclub in Bath, the cheapest Starbucks in town, a delicious menu, and an array of daily deals and events, this will soon become your second home! Watch this space for more details on our events, menus, and more coming soon.

It's Friday, it's nearly the weekend, and you know what that means... it's time to meet another Captain! 💚 'Hi, I'm Shweta! I'm a second-year Management with Marketing student from India and settled in Dubai. I am looking forward to making all the new students feel like Bath is their second home. A fun fact about me is I'm multilingual and also the Secretary of Bath Student Minds Committee for the current academic year. In my spare time, I love playing badminton and enjoy watching movies. Meeting first-year students and understanding what they expect from the University are the moments I am looking forward to the most during Freshers' Week.
