Wow, what an incredible Bank holiday weekend that was, my first taking part in the open studios hosted by the super gorgeous 💛

In between the downpours we had so many fabulous visitors with customers old & new - this lovely lady, Claire, bought my Seedpod necklace which took many hours of designing & making, it means so much when my pieces are loved ❤️

Thank you to everyone that joined us over the long weekend, I managed to dash out to a couple of venues but didn’t get the chance to meet nearly enough fellow artists, I’ll plan ahead next year! Happy half term to you all x

The countdown is now on for my next May event, the Bear Flat Artists Open Studios & Art Trail running for 3 days over the upcoming May bank holiday, Friday 25th til Monday 27th.

This will be the first time I’ve joined this event & I’m delighted to be joining the fabulous at Venue 8, 30 Longfellow Avenue. In case you don’t know Yvonne, she’s a super talented ceramicist and I already own a collection of her beautiful doves 🤍

The Trail has 21 venues in total, all within the Bear Flat area covering different forms of art, sculpture, wood turning, photography, ceramics & jewellery. As this is a Trail with the artists showcasing their work in their home environment, you also get a peek inside peoples homes (something I always love), & there’s children’s art workshops running from venue 10.

Leaflets are dropping locally but if you haven’t received yours yet, or your local coffee shop has run out, dm me.

After a super busy weekend at the Bath Spring Fayre, I’m now busy making more of these gorgeous gold freshwater pearl earrings & gold hammered hoops - no rest for the wicked?!! 😆

Some gloriously golden goodness for your Tuesday afternoon 💛

This ribbon necklace is created by layering lace around recycled sterling silver & taking it carefully through a rolling mill, I then form this lovely ribbon shape on a vice held mandrel.

I think I know what necklace I’ll be wearing to the awards reception 🥂

The lovely lady with me in this picture is Carrie.

In early December 2022, I received an online order for a pair of sterling silver star earrings for delivery in Bath from Carrie. As a local resident I offered to deliver the earrings for free.

It quickly transpired that Carrie was at the NICU ward at the RUH with her newborn daughter, and Carrie had placed the order to cheer herself up. A good friend of mine, Rachel, works at the RUH and after working out logistics, she was happy to personally deliver the earrings to Carrie, who was delighted! Fast forward to Christmas 2023, and Carrie and her husband came to introduce themselves whilst I was at the Bath Christmas Market - it was emotional, and absolutely wonderful. Whilst at the Market, Carrie purchased a birthstone necklace for her daughter Alice and by pure chance, Rachel was helping me at the Market that day too - it was a joyous meeting and I truly feel so lucky to have such fabulous customers.

Lola chooses the best moments to demand attention 😹 she particularly enjoys rubbing her cheeks against my bench peg & torch - lucky it wasn’t hot!!!

I’ve got so many work images to show you, it’s been a mad, (but good) few weeks, but Lola was too cute not to share 😻

Mr Design Vaults & I will be ‘enjoying’ the delights of Emily’s friends celebrating her 17th birthday at ours tonight… 🥂 whatever you’re up to, happy Friday all xx

Mini Made is a monthly market organised by the same Tutton and Young team that bring you MADE LONDON and MADE BRIGHTON.

Featuring around 20 different makers each month, I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the group of multi-disciplinary artisans this Saturday at their first Mini Made market! 🙌

The markets aim to bring a relaxed, high quality monthly craft market to visitors from Atelier Beside The Sea, which is right in the middle of Brighton Beach in 3 large arches.

Join us from 11am-4pm this Saturday - I’ll be sharing some new makes, (which I’ll do my best to share beforehand), and I’m really looking forward to meeting new customers & traders in this glorious setting ❤️

We’re currently enjoying the last day of our Easter break at our fave family venue, Saunton Sands, hoping the rain stops before we sink in the mud!!

I moved to this packaging almost 2 years ago now, I like that they’re sturdy but lightweight, you can also reuse them for trinkets (or just admire your jewellery in them 😁), or use them to regift. They’re also pretty cute and my customers love them 💖

What a fabulous time Emily & I had at the Stroud Farmers Market on Saturday! ⭐️

Thank you to everyone that came along to say hello & purchased their first Design Vaults Jewellery products, I loved how Stroudonians (is that a word?!), recognised that I was new and made a point of chatting and finding out about me & my work 😊

What a fabulous community of traders too! Super efficient and friendly market team, lovely customers, fantastic food & coffee - we couldn’t have asked for more. Hilariously, every season of the weather made an appearance too - bright sunshine & blue skies, to cold winds, rain and torrential hailstorms! I have a hysterical mini video of Emily & I dashing to the car in an epic hailstorm - but I’m not allowed to post it, all you can hear is me laughing hysterically whilst filming Emily being battered by hailstones - just the thought of it’s making me laugh 🤭

Mother’s Day is around the corner and for me, my business bloomed as a result of becoming a mum. Mother’s Day is important to me, not only on a personal level but also for my business.

Becoming a mother gave me the opportunity to become a business owner - having children gave me the push, drive and motivation to create a brand that would allow me to work for myself and work around my family.

Emily & Harrison know how important my business is to me and are now involved in different aspects, from modelling or packing up orders, to helping me at events - they understand the value of working hard, driving your own results and the sense of achievement gained from building your own brand. I hope they carry this ‘can do’, creative spirit into their lives, wherever their journey takes them.

And to all my fabulous customers & followers, thanks for sticking by me during my jewellery journey x

To be honest, I’ll be glad to see the back of January. I started off the month with labyrinthitis & have spent the last 2 days in bed with a horrible virus - I’m now promoted to the sofa with the lovely Lola keeping me company 🩷

The doors have closed on my Bath Street home and I’d like to say a huge thank you to my family & friends, (I couldn’t have done it without you!) my amazing neighbours on Bath Street and the hard working team - not forgetting of course my fabulous customers! I’ve been blown away by the incredible support you’ve all shown me in what I know are difficult times for everyone right now, I’ve had the privilege of meeting new and repeat customers and it’s been a joy to chat and catch up with you all. I’m absolutely shattered, but full of happiness from all your support 💕

I’m currently fulfilling orders from the last few days and will be closing shop for Christmas next Tuesday, 19th. If you’d like a gift in time for Christmas, my last posting date is this Thursday 14th 🎁

I’m going to share some pics of my wonderful customers in the new year, just to extend the good vibes a bit longer.
