Just finished building this rustic, industrial-style bench using a beautiful piece of solid wood, repurposed from an old, dated bench. The top has been treated with h**p oil, and new metal legs have been added to complete the look. It can also double up as a coffee table!

I'm absolutely appalled by Aviva right now. They’ve increased my motor insurance premium by an outrageous 39.47%, and there were no changes on my part to justify such a spike. Yes, they did send me a notification, but in the midst of moving my business, I didn’t catch the massive increase—just that my renewal had come through. A small increase would have been understandable, even though I’ve never made any claims, but such a hike is absolutely appalling.

As a small business owner who cares about her customers, I would never dream of treating people this way. It's unacceptable, and I won’t be recommending Aviva to anyone, nor will I be renewing my policy with them.

I'm thrilled to share this recent commission I worked on in between moving workshops!

The drawers were in great shape but had aged into an orange hue. My customers opted for new hardware, and I think the added expense was well worth it—just look at the transformation.

They chose a neutral stone paint shade and left the tops up to me. For the large chest and bedside tables, I sanded them back and treated them for a natural finish, while the matching chests had a fresh coat of paint overall. The result is a harmonious blend that works beautifully.

I was over the moon to hear their feedback: “The standard of work on your website set high expectations, but seeing our furniture exceeded them all.” It’s moments like these that make everything worthwhile.

Now, my paint brushes are taking a break while I finish up the move. Can’t wait to get back to creating, after a rest!
