It might be an insect but it's kind of a cute one! 🐞

It's so I'm sharing a little painting of a goldfish I did many, many years ago. Unusually for me, I love it so much that I have never tried to improve on it - and even have it framed now!

I had such fun painting the little red robin that I just had to follow it up with another tiny bird, this time a blue tit. This may turn into a series, as they are so enjoyable to create! 🎨

It’s getting to that time of year when I want to watch Elf, so just had to share my narwhal painting again. I can’t forget the narwhal in the movie coming out of the ocean to say “Bye, Buddy. Hope you find your dad.” Absolute genius.

I've been wanting to draw a little red robin for some time and as it's starting to feel a bit more wintery and festive, now seemed an appropriate time! Might have to do a series now, I'm thinking a squirrel next.....

Another blast from the past on and it's another colour pencil creation from many, many years ago!

Something a bit different for me, just trying out a different style. Painted in acrylic on a larger, square box canvas, I actually really like the textured background effect! But I am a bit disappointed there isn't an appropriate emoji for a starfish 😅

Back to painting seahorses again and, of course, this time in miniature. Two different options, just to see how they look!

It’s another throw🔙 to work from many years ago. Who doesn’t love a sleeping labrador with pups? This one was created with coloured pencil on a textured cream paper, gives it a bit of texture!

Painting my favourite loggerhead turtle again, this time in miniature and in two different versions - because one is never enough, is it?! 😅

‘Finding Nemo’ was released in the UK on this day in 2003, so I just had to share my watercolour painting of these little orange clownfish again!

The final one (for now!) in my poison dart frog series, I might have to frame all three to see how they look! 🐸

I just had to do a series of these poison dart frogs, they are such a joy to paint. There are over 100 species of these colourful amphibians but it's such a shame that many are on the endangered list due to climate change and habitat loss. 🐸

Just sharing another blast from my past portfolio whilst I finish work on some new paintings. You can tell how old this colour pencil drawing is by the yellowing of the paper!

Many, MANY years ago I used to draw colour pencil images like this little piglet 🐷. Very different to what I currently create but maybe something I will get back to....if only there were more hours in the day! 😅

Some people are surprised when I say that narwhals actually exist and are not some mythical animal! They actually spend their lives in the waters of Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia and can dive about a mile deep in the ocean! I'm just sad there isn't a narwhal emoji, so I'll just use this one instead, as they are also known as the unicorns of the sea... 🦄

I kept the colour palette of this group of sea lions quite muted and calming, in shades of blue and grey. It was also a pretty relaxing painting to work on and looks great in a bathroom setting!

Sometimes it's the simplest of images that become my favourites - like this little brightly coloured poison dart frog! Did you know their toxins come from ants or insects they eat in the wild but captive-bred frogs are not toxic due to a different diet?

This is one of the first paintings I created when I rediscovered my passion for art at the start of last year. I still love it, so much so that I use it as my profile picture on Facebook, Instagram and Etsy!

I could paint penguins of all shapes and sizes all day! 🐧 This time it's a little emperor penguin looking after its chick, which was created using watercolour and is perfect for a small 6x4 frame. Let's face it, who doesn't love a penguin?!

I love cactus - it's just a shame that I kill every one of them that comes into the house! Luckily in my painting of this group of cactus (cacti?) in the desert, they seem to be looking healthy enough! 🌵

I am continuing to create images of what I love and this time it's the fantastic loggerhead turtle. I was even lucky enough to see one up close and personal whilst snorkelling in Australia! How could I not paint one after that?!

I just can't seem to stop painting chameleons, so much so that I might even keep going and do a full series of these in different colours!

I have only just learnt that a group of crabs is called a 'cast'! So here is my cast of crabs, painted in yellow, orange and red, all ready to be displayed on a bathroom wall!

I am really pleased with how this one turned out, I love how the colours work together. And let's face it, seahorses are really fascinating, so it's pretty easy to make them look good!

This is one of my favourites, as sunflowers always make me smile! I will definitely have to work on more sunflower paintings in the future - I just need to find some spare time! 🌻🌻

More closely related to racoons than giant pandas, it's hard not to love a cute red panda! My own version of this excellent tree climber is painted in acrylic, with fine white detail created in pen.

I love all the different colours of hot air balloons but not so sure how much I would love being up in one! I created this painting as a panorama to showcase the variety but it also works really well as a square image - and prints of both are available in my Etsy shop.

Commonly called a herd of elephants, I definitely think I prefer the alternative term - a memory of elephants! I have painted them in my own particular way but hope I have still managed to celebrate these amazing mammals.

Finally some weather which might allow us to enjoy time at the beach - and we might even get to see some colourful beach huts such as these!

Painting any sort of frog always reminds me of my mum - which is probably why I end up painting quite a lot of them! This one is a little European tree frog, one of only two species of tree frogs to be found in Europe.

It's World Bee Day and to celebrate these hard-working pollinators, I would like to introduce you to my little, fat bumblebee. Many bee species are under threat but it's so important to protect them.

Something different again for me - lighthouses! Once I had painted one, I got a bit addicted and did two more but I think they work really well on their own or as a group of three.

Chameleons change colour not only for camouflage but also in response to their emotions! However, the range of colours I have used for this acrylic painting are based on how they work together, rather than giving the chameleons specific feelings!

I think everyone loves a giant panda, I know I do! But apparently their name is actually a nickname, as they are no larger than any other pandas!

Something a bit different for me - but I always knew it had to include a robot dog! 🐾 Probably a lot better behaved than my two.... 😅
