🤒👶The Sick Days🤒👶
The chaos and cluelessness
Of the sick days
The seemingly endless
fevers, body aches and runny noses
Rocking, holding, soothing, comforting
Night wakings, backs aching,
Praying, waiting
For the season's passing
Soldiering on, enduring
Learning, growing
Depending, remembering
His grace enveloping,
He, our worry, lightens
Granting strength daily
For God on the mountains
Is still God, in the valley

👶😴 Hush Now, Try To Sleep.. 😴👶
They call it the 18-month sleep regression
The phase of short naps or none at all
Of refusing sleep even when
The exhausted little body is ready to fall
Rock me in your arms all night
Mama, you be my pillow
And sing me a sweet lullaby
Until the morning dawns tomorrow
While I think of all the many things
That I learnt today,
New stuff to explore, new songs to sing
And the many new words to say
Ah sweet one, she wishes she could
Fulfil all your demands and more
But your sleep deprived mama is wishing you would
Settle soon and sleep like before
She understands, it is a part of
all the growing up you're going through
And applauds how you absorb
Like a sponge, everything around you
So, hush now, try to sleep
Tomorrow is another day
For you to hop and jump and skip
Learn, explore and play
Time will wait for you little one
There's no hurry to grow up too soon
So close your eyes, sweet hon
Please grant your mama a boon😴❤

🌸 Flower 🌸
To behold its beauty
the eyes never tire
Grandeur amidst simplicity
‘tis the unceasing wonder of a Flower
Clothed in vibrant colour
Soothing to the soul
Its splendour to admire
remains free for one and all
Existing, but for a brief moment
and then it fades away
Full bloom for a few hours
it breathes but for a day
Fleeting though its life may be
here today and gone tomorrow
It fulfils its purpose, it’s destiny
A constant source of joy, even in sorrow
So, take a moment to contemplate
on life’s worth, its fate
Years passing, in the blink of an eye
so swiftly does the time fly
And consider in what manner
the creation which glorifies its maker
becomes a delight and blessing to all who see
in it a reflection of the Creator Almighty
