Hey!!

I have had lots of people asking me questions regarding the colour options of the Ensoniq displays.

Firstly the LCD displays, (although they work flawlessly with my code) they simply don’t fit in either the epsclassic, 16+ or the asr10. They are bulky and there is not a lot of room in the samplers for these displays. I have been in contact with many different LCD manufacturers and from what I can tell they all keep to the same design regarding the size. This is potentially not the best news because LCD displays were our best bet for different coloured displays.

This brings me on to the OLED displays. Personally I think they look great, obviously they have a way better viewing angle than the LCD displays, no problem with being too bright or not bright enough. But with all this being said, the colour options are literally, green or yellow (black background)..

This project was first and foremost about being able to keep these machines alive rather than being a mod. But I can appreciate, especially after speaking to lots of you guys, that being able to pick colours is a something many of you were looking forward to.

So.. as this project is coming close to being completed it looks like the very first versions of this display are going to be solely green or yellow OLED displays.

Hey guys! Long time, no see! I just wanted to drop a little message letting you all know why there hasn’t been any news for a while about the Ensoniq displays. I have been away for the last year getting married in another country. But this month I am coming back, I aim to jump right back on this project and get it released for you guys as soon as possible! Hi guys,

Hope you are all well, I just wanted to drop a little update on what I’ve been doing/progress of the displays so far..

So after talking with a lot of you guys and getting some feedback, it’s apparent that a display for the ASR-10 will be most popular in demand. Also to have a choice between the LCD and OLED displays.

My original plan was to complete the OLED display for the EPS 16+ first, then work on the displays for the ASR-10 and EPSClassic. My thoughts now are that it’s going to be better for everyone if I could make a “one product fits all” rather than multiple products for multiple samplers.

So to achieve this I have had to tweak the coding and re-design the PCB to allow the display to run and fit with all three samplers. The coding part now is complete. I am now in the process of designing the new PCB.

I also have also set up the Facebook and website ready for the release. So if you’d like to check those out it’ll be much appreciated.

I have also set up a mailing list on the website so be sure to sign up for that. I’ll be dropping updates like this plus also exclusive discounts via newsletters.

Finally I just wanted to give you guys a rough date on when I think I’ll be dropping the displays. With the way things have been running recently,I am anticipating late Jan/Feb I will have everything ready to go.
