Let’s talk protection 🫣

We mightn’t all like it…. But it’s necessary to keeping our cars clean, in top condition and protecting our paintwork from dirt, grime and road films. 🤮

Here at Underground we are a big believer in good old wax, our wax of choice is fusso coat, a high strength wax with a protection time of up to 12 months (if cared for properly).

A lot of detailers will try push you to purchase ceramic packages however this isn’t the most cost effective way for you to protect your car. A ceramic coating is a multiple day procedure with a higher material cost. We do offer ceramic coatings but we try to recommend these for smaller surfaces such as alloy wheels and interiors.

For example a ceramic coating raw material can cost us £50 and upward and we can apply this to maybe 1-2 cars max (this will last a long time however only if it is maintained and washed properly using the correct methods) to apply this coating we would charge upward of £250…. Car depending and we would only apply this to a car in which we are happy that the paintwork is in good condition, no point ceramic coating over swirly scratched up paint.. it’ll only make it harder to polish the paint work later down the line.

Fusso coat costs us around £30 a tin and we can apply this to upwards of 20 cars…. To apply fusso, we would charge around £50… yes you heard £50.. and this can be done in half a day, this then allows us to also carry out other works such as an interior valet, paint decontamination washing, wheel protection and metal polishing. An example of which would be a quick interior valet, a paint decontamination wash, fusso applied, and trims all dressed - £80 in total with an estimated time of around 6 hours

Not only is it less time consuming but it allows us to pass on the best possible prices and value for money to you… the customers.

We have been blown away by the interest in becoming one of our four 2024 show car season associates 🙏 so in light of the interest we have taken the decisions to make it an entry style application (see post), we will then ask you guys to help us pick who we should have on board 😏

All associates will get their car cared for by us which includes a 2 stage correction and show shine finish 🫡 decals, merch and will rep our brand this coming show season

To some it’s just a logo, to me it’s my world 🌍
