After GEM Interior Contracts successful interior fit out of Mills Selig’s 1st Floor, the prestigious Belfast City Centre Law Firm invited GEM Interior Contracts back to undertake a successful fully comprehensive interior fit out of the remaining Floors; 2, 3 and 4. Resulting in modern, industrial, functional spaces with clean lines and focus points; all of which the clients are thoroughly delighted with.

Domino’s, North Docks, Dublin
Multinational Pizza Brand Domino’s have selected GEM Interior Contracts as one of their preferred contractors to successfully fit out a selection of their restaurant portfolio.
A new site situated at The Point Campus, North Docks in Dublin, is currently the second Domino’s Restaurant which GEM has delivered. A logistically difficult job with no on site storage facilities, and a confined working space proved challenging, but the team at GEM handed over a first class project much to the delight of the client.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD has just completed the fit out of a new restaurant in Lisburn Omniplex for the Canadian chicken restaurant chain, Mary Brown’s.
Mary Brown’s operates a chain of over 250 outlets in Canada and this is the first restaurant to open as part of their expansion into Europe.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD are delighted to have been chosen as Mary Brown’s Partner Contractor for works moving forward.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD were delighted to make the cut and be selected as the Moss Bros Limited preferred contractor for their prestigious new store in the Arndale Centre in Manchester.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD spent 8 weeks on site completely restructuring the unit to meet the current building regulations and Moss Bros Limited's high standards.

As this was a 'live' environment in a bustling city centre shopping mall, all the constraints such as permit approval for access, out of hours working, noise limitations and coordinating with centre management were all factors GEM Interior Contracts LTD successfully managed, earning the praise of both the centre management and client alike in doing so.

Prestigious Law firm, Mills Selig selected GEM Interior Contracts LTD as their preferred contractor to undertake the fit out of their first floor, Belfast city centre offices.

The reception area has a minimalistic white colour palette with contrasting colour tones applied throughout the soft furnishings, doorsets and flooring to offer points of interest. The use of oak wood for the bench seating bases, shelving and fire doors offers a Scandinavian influence to warm up the space.

The modern, bright, open space is given an additional wow factor with the use of an LED ceiling feature, the use of a striking LED lightbox behind the reception desk and LED shadow line detailing around the seating areas.

The introduction of an acoustic meeting booth was a clever addition to the space, with all the required powerpoints to allow a comfortable and functionable introductory meeting area to put prospective clients at ease.

The reception area leads onto a large private meeting area with functional units in soft tones and all the modern Av equipment required to undertake high profile discussions. This meeting space offers full functionality as it can easily be adapted into a dual space with the use of a concealed, folding sub dividing wall.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD were honoured to have had the opportunity to showcase all their skills by delivering a first-class finish which the client can fully utilise and appreciate.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD ongoing working relationship with New Look Retailers is going from strength to strength with the delivery of their latest store at Castlecourt Shopping Centre in Belfast.
The store was handed over to the client over an 8 week on site period.

GEM Interior Contracts LTD are delighted to have handed over the 1st Tortilla Mexican Restaurant in Ireland.
The 6 week transformation offered a Californian inspired Tex Mex theme complete with rustic walls, industrial display cages and lighting. Bold contrasting colours bring the space to life with the use of coloured metal corrugated sheeting and cantina styled tiling. Bright neon signage, custom artwork and planting add a further wow factor to the eclectic and funky space.

GEM spent 16 weeks on site transforming the ground floor of the iconic Capella Building, 60 York Street in Glasgow. The works generally comprised of the sub-division of an existing retail space within the ground floor complex to create both male and female communal shower and changing facilities.
Access to the unit was created by introducing a knock through into the existing lift lobby and into the rear fire escape staircase. In conjunction with the changing facilities, GEM created access corridors, a kitchenette and storage room to turn the building shell into a practical, functional and modern space befitting the iconic building.
This was no mean feat as the works were quite extensive and included structural alterations, steelwork installation, new services, flooring and fit- out works.
As this was a live site with tenants in situ and intrusive works required throughout the 13-storey building GEM meticulously planned all disruptive works during ‘out of hours’ and on ‘night shift’ to minimise any potential disruption to the Tenants.
As the Capella Building is in a prominent city centre site, logistically this provided challenges with site accessibility. GEM carefully coordinated the logistics ‘out-of-hours’ in order to maximise access for site clearance, mechanical access and deliveries.
Mark O’Gara, GEM Contracts Manager said ‘It was a challenging site but it allowed GEM to excel and showcase their skills. Careful planning and open lines of communication with the client allowed the job to be executed with precision. We were able to offer the Client additional effective, cost saving solutions through the proposal and use of a more sustainable services material.
