I love that no two cups will be the same, but I’m upset that I’ll never recreated a scene like that again! Might have to keep this one, especially as it’s my first attempt…
*Upcoming Markets*
I’ve been really busy getting ready for Christmas here, and have pulled together a list of where I’ll be over the next couple of months.
If you can’t make any of these dates please give me a message and we can arrange some shopping at my studio.
We are open!! Today, tomorrow and Sunday I’m open 10-4 as part of the Art Trail.
Please pop in and say hello - I’m venue L in Thankerton 🥰
A special thanks for this photo goes to the incredibly talented Lynn who arranged the stunning bouquet this morning to compliment my vase. I sense the beginnings of a beautiful friendship…
I’m starting to build stock for my open studio during Biggar Little Festival, trying new things and honing my style. The result is the little butter dish, which I’m very sad to part with!
A bit weird making Christmas decorations in this heat… but here we are! At least they dry nice and quickly for me 🙃
I’m in London for work at the minute, but very excited for the weekend. One more kiln firing to go… come by on Saturday morning and you might find something hot out the oven ;)
Experimenting… I can’t wait to see how these come out of the kiln later in the week. I’m still trying hard to find my own style and brand, and I’m really excited about where this one is taking me…
After a very quiet few months on the pottery front (especially on here) whilst I’ve juggled being back at work, studying and parenting 2 little terrors I have finally got myself in order enough to do another craft fair.
Please pop along and say hi on Saturday or Sunday at the Corn Exchange, Biggar and have a look at some new work.
Swipe for a sneak preview…

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported all of us makers this weekend . I had a fantastic time chatting to some familiar faces and making some new friends (go and check out - she’s seriously talented!!)
As promised, I’ve updated my website with my remaining stock, and added a local pickup option for anyone who didn’t make it down but wished they had!

Custom orders are currently closed whist I get through the backlog, I’ll let you know when they open again.

All set up and ready for today at The Corn Exchange
Newness for 2023 🥰 I made a coffee pour over!
This will be up for grabs at the weekend… if nobody snaps it up first!
*literally* hot out the kiln
Does anyone else unload when it’s still too hot to touch or just me? 😂
My favourite piece from last night’s firing… I love opening the kiln because there’s always a little bit of magic 🪄
A lovely sized bowl, with plenty of room for a big breakfast! This, and many other bits will be at The Corn Exchange this weekend for Biggar’s Spring Fair. Please come and say hello!

What do you think of this one?
I try to pace myself with posting pictures, but I just love this one I couldn’t wait to share… and show something that isn’t blue!!

I have been keeping my head down and working quietly these past few weeks. As well as a holiday to Mexico, I’ve finished my maternity leave and returned to work this month so it has become harder and more important than ever to make some time for the hobby I love.
I’ve been trying a couple of new things… the first I want to show you is a wax melter. Do you want to see more of these…?

Thank you to everyone who came and made last night so incredibly successful. I pretty much sold out!! I can’t tell you how much it means to see everyone supporting small, local businesses.
Thank you also to all the staff at who ran a brilliant evening. I think I might just take over the hardware shop permanently 😂
I don’t have a lot of pieces left - my plan now is to work on all existing preorders and get those out in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully I’ll be able to make a few extras in between too. If you’re thinking about ordering in time for Christmas please let me know soon so I have time to make it.

[sold] Getting ready for tomorrow night! Lots of candles, vases and other goodies to pick up. Can you tell my favourite colour is blue?!
I did a jig when this one came out of the kiln this morning, and I’m so honoured it’s going to live with my best friend.

The kiln is on for the final time before Friday’s Christmas Shopping Night!
Only a few days to go until the Christmas Shopping Night now, where I will be taking this lovely pair of coffee cups. Of course, if you can’t wait that long please let me know if you see something you like and I’ll put it aside for you.
Another load out of the kiln, this time mostly black clay. I love the effect of the glazes on the darker body. So much harder to get, but very rewarding!
This one is going to be a candle. What do you think? Should I crack out the Christmas scents?
I’ve made a plan for Christmas…
I’m going to be doing the Biggar Late Night Shopping event on the 25th November. I’ll be setting up my stall in the greengrocers shop of the museum. I’m very excited!
After that I’ll try and update my website and take a few custom orders for Christmas. You don’t need to wait until then - DM me now and you can stop by and have a look at my stock, or let me know what you’re looking for.
This one brightens up a rainy Monday
I have been very quiet recently because my 35 year old kiln packed in (with a full load of work inside!) a couple of weeks ago.
I’ve had to cancel a couple of upcoming craft fairs 😭😭 whilst I wait for a new kiln to be delivered 🤞🏻 soon.
In the meantime I have been lucky enough to make a very special necklace for two very special littlies’ granny. I also got these snazzy cards from which I think make my jewellery look even better! What do you think?
A picture of my first cup of tea in my first ever mug. It’s not perfect, but it might be the best cuppa I’ve ever had (save the ones at the top of a mountain…)
I’ve gained a few new followers in the past week, so I think it’s time to formally introduce myself! 🙋🏼♀️
This was the first pot I ever threw, at the grand old age of 6! Since then I’ve been obsessed with learning to throw properly, but I’ve only been fortunate enough to get a wheel and a kiln (which is older than me!) in the past year. I have a day job in a bank 🥱, but I’m currently on maternity leave wrangling a 3 year old and a 6m old👨👩👧👦. I don’t get much chance at the wheel, and tend to grab my chance once the kids are in bed. My baby monitor is covered in clay!!

So this doesn’t have a filter on…
And that is because of the excellent light booth my husband built me, based on the designs of .
Thank you Joe for all of the information you’re willing to share - you truly inspire me. And thank you Jamie for supporting me.
My products are now listed on my website!
I would appreciate any feedback on the website - I’m most definitely still learning.
Meanwhile, I’ll get back to the wheel…
