GROWBABY SUMMER HOLIDAY HAS BEGUN!

This week was our final week before a pause over the summer for our GrowBaby team! We had a flurry of guests, and were able to send them off with bags filled with clothes and toys and other baby items.

The sun was shining as we were visited by a whopping 21 FAMILIES which served the needs of 35 CHILDREN!! 😅 It was a very sweaty couple of hours!!

A couple of stories from our morning:

💚 Two young boys yelped with excitement as we gifted them a mini air hockey table!

💜 We supported a family seeking asylum with all essential newborn equipment. They are now ready for their baby due over the next month!

💛 We handed out A LOT of bubbles! A definite win for all ages, who doesn't love bubbles?!

💙 A community midwife popped by to meet the needs of a family she is supporting

🧡 A few of our 'regulars' came back this week which filled our morning with familiar faces as well as new. We served hot drinks and squeezed in time to catch up and check in with each other amongst the busyness.

What a wonderful morning, a huge thank you to our incredible team and to everyone who continues to support us with donations! We will be updating our wishlist over the summer to restock our store room ready for the autumn term.

Today was a HOT one! 🔥

We welcomed 11 families in total.

We are in desperate need of TOYS! Newborn soft toys, developmental toddler toys, games, crafts, musical instruments, fancy dress costumes, dolls, vehicles, animals, walkers, bath toys.

Are you having a clear out? Or perhaps have a charity shop near you that you could visit on our behalf? We would love to be able to hand out good quality toys to each child that visit GrowBaby 😊

Thanks to a very kind donation we will be gifting every child bubble mix next week! 🫧

This week was our busiest week to date. Apologies to those of you that visited, but found our doors closed. Unfortunately due to the large numbers in attendance we had to close entry as we were at capacity. Please try and attend at 10.30 to avoid disappointment.

⭐ 20 FAMILIES which included 28 CHILDREN ⭐

We gifted ALL our pushchairs and prams! We now have no stock and it will probably take some time to build this stock up again.

THIS WEEK we were visited by 3 separate families with babies or toddlers currently in hospital. We were able to gift these families toys and equipment required to help prepare them for discharge home and promote their development at home.

What an amazingly busy day we had yesterday!! We were visited by 15 families, supporting 23 children! An absolute joy and privilege to be able to hand out good quality baby equipment, clothes and toys to those in need.

It was great to hear of so many other organisations sign posting GrowBaby to families in Birmingham. This week we had referrals from health visitors, midwives, The British Red Cross and Safe Families charity! It is exciting to see GrowBaby partnering with others services across the city to ensure no child under 5 goes without! 👏🏻

13 families joined us at GrowBaby yesterday!! The sun was out and we were able to gift lots of summery clothes meeting the needs of 17 children! ☀️

GROWBABY today supported the needs of 20 children!! We had lots of new families as well as familiar faces returning this morning ☺️ and were able to send 2 midwives and a support worker away with full cars for families they support too!

Hi Everyone, just to let you know some news about what is happening with Growbaby East at the moment. The Growbaby based at St Michaels, as some of you might know, was extremely busy and there is clearly a huge need for it to continue to happen. Unfortunately some of the team have had to step back from being involved and this has been why the Growbaby has been closed. It now looks as if it will have to remain closed until we have a new team including leaders in place. The hope is that we can relaunch in September and are working towards this happening.
Growbaby based in digbeth is still open to donations as well as providing free clothing and equipment for children under five.

Wow! Another busy week at GrowBaby City Centre!
This week we had a queue waiting as the doors opened!

We were able to support 11 families, 16 children and meet the needs of a social worker! All thanks to your generous donations!

The city centre GrowBaby team had a busy morning today!! Equipping 10 families (18 children) with equipment, toys and clothes. Thank you for your generous donations, there were lots of happy faces as parents left this morning! 😁

We had a quieter day yesterday we had 3 families with 6 children. Thank you to everyone who has donated over the Christmas period.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful festive period. We are very happy to open our doors again tomorrow.

Today we helped 5 families,2 of them were new mums who didn't have anything for their newborns. Thank you to everyone's wonderful donations we were able to help them.

Over the past 2 weeks, we have seen 10 families and 5 case workers. It has been good to help all these families with all your donations. We will now be closed for 1 week and reopen from Wednesday 8th November.

This week was busy. We had 10 families and 3 social workers, this was a total of 20 children helped. Due to your kind donations.

Our team are so excited to welcome you to our new drop in sessions at our Barford street location.

Today has been a good morning at Growbaby. We were able to provide for 4 families, 7 children in total! Thanks to your generous donations and prayers we supported a social worker in providing for two new mums to be and a family were able to use our growbaby service to gift their 2yr old son birthday presents for this weekend!

We're excited for a new term of Growbaby starting up next week! We will now have walk in sites in both Hall Green and City Centre (Digbeth) so you can connect with whichever is most accessible for you.
