When we update the trackers to say items have arrived back at Griffins: if your items are in the submissions that have returned we will contact you! There's no need to message / email us to ask if your items are there.

You all provided us with contact details upon submitting your items so we can reach out to you via those or we can track you down via social media and such :)

We have to manage and use our time wisely and returns will continue to take priority over all else therefore we must prioritise sorting and connecting returns with owners as opposed to replying to such emails / messages

We understand it's exciting getting your returns but rest assured you will be contacted!

Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹

We've had a busy week / weekend sorting returns in all shapes and sizes! Most will be back with owners this week ๐Ÿฅณ

The website will be updated this evening with all the lastest status' of all orders and we'll be catching up on all emails and messages We've missed over the last few days

We apologise for any delayed responses - returns took the top priority spot over the weekend so we can at long last reunite cards and comics with owners ๐Ÿฅณ

Also - anyone going to the Northwestcardshow this weekend? ๐Ÿ‘€ we are not vending but a couple of us will be floating about the crowds and supporting the other businesses that are attending by making a few cheeky purchases! See you's there!

Just a quick FYI - Phil is out of the country currently for a family matter however business as usual with grading!

All subs / returns are being dealt with via Ed at the shop and Phil has his laptop with him so will continue to work remotely however just be advised due to time difference there may be delays in responses to emails / messages

We are also still catching up on replying to all emails and messages while the internet was down. If you have messaged / emailed please be aware we are on it and we will be back with you as soon as we can.

Once we've completed the backlog of emails / messages we will continue with emails regarding upcharges on submissions pending return as well as invoices for last months submissions.

We have paid all upcharges upfront to avoid delays so please get those emails responded to ASAP so we can get cards returned to owners.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE ๐Ÿฅณ

Many many thanks to all those using our services over the past 4+ years as we continue to grow and the demand for our services continues to increase - we couldn't do what we do without the support of you all!

We closed out 2023 after a year packed with ups and downs as we continue to adapt to the increase of items coming through our doors!

Please remember that although we are currently experiencing unexpected delays (which we've been dealing with while "closed" over the festive period - stay tuned!) That you are not just paying for speed of service but for many other things such as:
- we are the longest serving active middleman service in the UK
- we have the safest facilities in the UK with our on-site bank vault and additional security measures
- we are drawn from a combined 10+ years of experience in grading both personally and as a service provider
- we were the first to supply a drop off in-store service (check out Griffins Gaming Birmingham while you're here ๐Ÿ‘€)
- plus much much more

To kick off 2024:

We've made some changes on the behind the scenes end to free up more time which will allow us to provide much more consistent / regular updates including website, Facebook and instagram as well as quicker response times and more posts via our socials.

We will be opening a "trade to grade" service very shortly allowing you to trade your unwanted cards for grading credit to grade those hits ๐Ÿฅณ

Hey everyone just another quick update!

Batch 3 of returns is now back with customers and batch 4 was dispatched on Saturday

Over the weekend... I've ran out of boxes ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿ˜… just due to the incredible amount of returns at once!

So batch 5 is being dispatched this morning however I've had to improvise with the packaging so please don't be alarmed if your returns package looks different to how it normally does!

Slabs are still safe and sound and very well protected - just in different packages

Morning everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š

Following on from the previous post - the 2nd batch of returns has now arrived with customers and the 3rd batch has been dispatched this morning!

Please be patient with us as we clear through these slabs but rest assured they will be returned to you as soon as humanly possible

Once we've finished dealing with the literal mountains of returns we'll be chasing the upcharges for the next lot of pending returns. We have already paid for these upfront so now just waiting on them to be shipped.

We will attempt to get the website all upto date this evening / tomorrow. The returns have understandably taken priority over everything else.

Hi everyone โ˜บ๏ธ

Just a little update as we've been quite quiet for a while now so just wanted to let everyone know what's been happening this end

So we had an issue with our PSA order forms where a number was auto-populating into one of the boxes and we didn't realise this was happening. So when our orders got to the shipping stage it couldn't proceed because their system didn't know what to do with this random number.

We didn't pick up on this and neither did PSA so orders were just sitting there awaiting to be shipped.

After dozens of emails and phone calls we finally identified the issue and resolved it ASAP.

On late Tuesday afternoon last week we had not one, not two, but SEVEN orders arrive with us all at once. We've also received upcharges for a further 2 orders since then which we've paid upfront so as to not cause any more delays. We spent the next 3 working days sorting these slabs and getting them prepped for shipping back to owners ASAP and the first two batches of returns have been dispatched with the first lot already arriving back with customers.

We have prioritised these orders over our social medias and updating the website so all concentration are on these orders with the oldest one's taking priority.

We will continue to pack and ship orders over the coming days so please keep an eye on your emails to confirm your delivery details quickly so we can get your items shipped.

We apologise for these unforseen delays and reassure everyone that neither us nor PSA were at fault here but a simple computer error and we are working tirelessly to get all orders back to customers as soon as humanly possible.

Goooood morning everyone and happy Saturday! ๐Ÿฅณ

Just a couple of quick announcements from me and a little bit of housekeeping.

- CONTACT: we will no longer be accepting messages to our personal accounts regarding grading. If you'd like to contact us please do so through the Griffins Grading inbox / email / website. This is due to us getting busier and busier month after month and receiving messages 24/7 to our personal accounts is becoming harder and harder to keep on top of

- BEYOND OUR CONTROL: we have been mentioned a couple of times recently regarding "delays" with some older orders. I'd just like to share a few things that can contribute to this that are beyond our control. Firstly turnaround times are estimated only and not guaranteed. Secondly behind the scenes there are many things we have to deal with that are not in the public eye. For example we have had cards damaged during the grading process whilst in USA. This can hold up orders while we agree a solution between the graders and the customer and unfortunately is something beyond our control. We have been given permission by our customer to share the image on this post of one of our recent issues. Customer sent a CD promo charizard to be graded and the image uploaded to the PSA website once graded was of a completely different card (as seen below). This held up an entire order while the company tried to locate the correct card which involved around half a dozen employees, CCTV checking, emails back and fourth between different departments and much much more. Some things are simply just beyond our control and as much as we'd like to have all the answers - unfortunately we just never know what's going to happen and delays cannot be helped.

- CGC: we have temporarily suspended submitting to CGC cards as of this month. This is due to a severe delay with one of our orders which we have been chasing for months now. We have been advised the orders are "working through the grading process" but until we get these returns we will be holding off on submitting more. Apologies for any inconvenience.

**PSA October Special Update**

We can finally confirm our final batch of Halloween specials has now been completed.

We identified the delay as a card damaged during the grading process unfortunately which held up the order. The owner has already been contacted so please don't stress about your cards if you haven't been contacted.

UPCHARGES: we received a number of upcharges for this order. We have already paid them in advance to avoid any further delays. We have been going over them over the weekend but it's a much bigger job than anticipated so it will take a couple more days to match each card with the correct owner.

We will reach out to those of you that have been charged.

Please be advised these upcharges will need to be paid ASAP and we will be unable to return your cards until any outstanding balance is settled.

This card was cracked from a PSA 10 a few years back to complete a binder set.

The submitter purchased this raw, resubmitted it and it still got a 10 after years in a binder!
