Sylvia Goodman is retiring after a wonderful 5 years with We Clean Limited ⭐💫

An incredibly hard working and professional Cleaning Operative, Sylvia continually went above and beyond, even through recent health issues 🤗

As a result, Ryan Halford, Contract Manager, Richard Wharton, OBM and Directors Paul & David felt it only fitting that Sylvia be presented with a prestigious Pride Award upon her retirement 🏆

Sylvia will be greatly missed, particularly by Pragmatic Training & Consulting where she finished her career on Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth ✅

🎇 70th Birthday Celebrations at The West Brom Building Society Branch in Cradley Heath 🎇

Christine Hawthorne who transferred into We Clean Limited an amazing 16 years ago, in 2008, today celebrates her 70th Birthday 👏

Our We Clean Management Team were in attendance with Director, Paul Concannon, Contract Manager, Jane Shields and Wendy Foster, WBBS Head Office Cleaning Manager to present Christine with flowers and a card 💐

Jane can't speak highly enough of Christine, commenting:

"Christine is absolutely fantastic! She is a pleasure to manage day to day, and is Mrs Reliable! Christine never lets me down and the WBBS FM Team hold her in very high regard, as do the WBBS staff within the Cradley Heath Branch!

Her 16 year career is testament to how hard she works and i hope she has a great time celebrating!"

Whilst we have never used the term 'Cleaner', opting instead for 'Cleaning Operative', we fully embrace the ethos behind this day 🙌

Cleaning Staff truly are unsung hero's and today, as we do every day, we are celebrating their outstanding contributions 🎆

🤗🌍 Today we are celebrating World Mental Health Day 🌍🤗

We have long championed the welfare of cleaning staff and empowering all those that operate within this challenging industry to be the very best they can be 💪

Through our 24/7 Employee Assistance Support Programme and longstanding 'People First' ethos, we are doing our utmost to fully support and embrace our staff 👏

We held a Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning today at our Birmingham Head Office 👏

Our Office, Warehousing and Contract Management staff all gathered to raise money for a wonderful and very worthy cause with the budding bakers among us also bringing in some tasty home-made treats 🎂

We must also congratulate Matthew Wheeldon-Trigg who correctly guessed the 'number of coffee cups' in this years game - he has now guessed correctly and picked up the prize two years in a row ✅😁

Our two David's - Director, David Harker and H&S Manager, David Holmes-McClure TechIOSH completed the 70 mile route in aid of Sport 4 Life UK, a very worthwhile cause 🙌

We very much pride ourselves on being a regional cleaning provider however over the past 5 years we have developed a strategic operational hub within Cambridge as we manage a number of Aviva Investors Properties on Behalf of Cushman & Wakefield 🏢

This East Midlands stronghold is headed up by Richard Wharton, Operational Business Manager and Contract Manager, Chris Cooke (two keen golfers) and as a result, the Birmingham vs Cambridge Ryder Cup was born 🙌

The Birmingham duo took the honour's this time around however we are sure Chris and Tim Robertshaw of TR Cleaning Limited will be vying for revenge next time around 😀

We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the RoSPA Gold Award in Health & Safety Management for a 3rd consecutive year 🏆✅

Eileen O’Hara has today retired from the Walsall branch of our longstanding client, The West Brom Building Society 💐

Contract Manager Jane visited site to thank for her for all of her hard work over the years and present her with a parting bouquet of flowers. Jane commented:

🙌 A busy Friday morning at the Birmingham Hippodrome as we celebrated two 10 Year Service Awards, sadly said goodbye to Site Cleaning Manager, Yvette Meade and then lastly welcomed her successor, Karoline 🙌

We have now been Cleaning Partner to the Birmingham Hippodrome for 18 years and couldn't be prouder of our team for their continued professionalism ✅

It is an incredibly momentous day here at We Clean Limited HQ as we celebrate our very first employee (outside of the famous five – David, Paul, Gaynor, Steve and Tim) to receive their 20 Year Service Award 😲 👏

With the company itself being formed in 2003, Viv Byng has pretty much seen it all and having been here since those early formative months has gone on to become an integral part of our organic growth and development during that 20 year period ✅

Viv joined after a number of years working within the banking sector and came on board to provide administrative support to Gaynor Powell - primarily to answer the phone and do the filing 😄📚

My word how times have changed as now in 2024 Viv manages the complete Sales Ledger, ensuring our large portfolio of clients receive their Monthly Invoices correctly - a function that is critical to the long-term success of any organisation 📊

Viv is very much at the heart of our Head Office facility and we couldn’t be prouder that she is celebrating this landmark 20 year service length achievement award 🙌

In typical We Clean fashion a surprise get together of her colleagues in the company Board Room was arranged that included her husband Tim Byng, Specialist Division Director, daughter Stephanie (payroll administrator) and grandson Albie, where she was presented with a book of memorabilia, flowers and bubbly 🍾

This annual event celebrates the crucial role that payroll professionals play in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time ⏰

Here at We Clean Limited payroll is an absolutely critical function as we pay our near 700 front-line Operatives fortnightly and place great importance on ensuring staff are paid on time and accurately ✔️

Our Payroll Team is headed up by Christine Checkley, Payroll Supervisor and supported by Steph Toone, Payroll Adminstrator as well as Etna McNeil!

Coinciding with this important week, Steph will soon be celebrating her 1 year anniversary and has fully embraced our comprehensive payroll operations as well as our wider company ethos 🤗

Gaynor Powell, HR Director is delighted with how Steph has progressed throughout her first year, commenting:

“Steph has certainly hit the ground running and fully adapted to her new role within our ever growing Payroll Department. We are all absolutely delighted with Steph’s progress and really pleased with how she has fit into the team!”

We are delighted to have kicked off a new educational contract this week - Warwick School 📚

Contract Manager, Ryan Halford and Training Manager, Duncan Thomson have been hard at work delivering a seamless mobilisation and comprehensive training to our new Cleaning Team who were recruited from the local Leamington area 🔝

We partner with a number of differing educational institutions and are immensely proud to welcome this prestigious School to our portfolio ✅

Head Office, Operational and front-line staff gathered at Worcester Racecourse for an afternoon of fun with their families 🥂🍻

Whilst the team didn't have too many winners the weather was positive (mostly 😅) & it was a fantastic opportunity for everybody to socialise away from the fast paced intensity of the cleaning industry ✔️👏
