We have been using this lovely tactile instruments at Rhythm Circle the last few weeks. It is a tongue drum and ticks all our multi-sensory boxes.
Our students have been experimenting with it: touching it to stop sounds after hitting the tongues with a mallet, creating pitch and rhythm patterns, playing it as an ensemble, doing call and response activities. Pretty much indestructible and very, very satisfying to use!
