Alhamdulillah, We asked you for your support yesterday, and as you always do you stepped up and helped us raise over £25k on one night, below is a short message from our chairman Abdul Ghafoor. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who donated, those about whom we know and those who donated direct without telling us. Allah is all knowing and your reward is with the most high. For all those who donated on behalf of your ill or deceased family members may Allah grant all your sick an ultimate cure and all your deceased the highest ranks in jannatul firdous. All those children who called in, May Allah make those very children the leaders of our masjid in the years to come and make them the coolness of their parents eyes. All those who shared our poster and the link and the donation lines, for everybody who donated through the messages you shared, you will always have a share in that reward. We are aiming to have phase 2 complete within the next couple of months after which insha’Allah we can all benefit from this facility. Jazakallah Khair
Alhamdulillah, today we were safely able to allow you into phase two of our expansion project to have a look at the amazing work which has taken place, firstly with the blessings of Allah and then through your generous donations. As you can see the building is nearly ready to be used with electric works complete and the plastering done, we have the underfloor heating to put in yet, but insha’Allah we can have this finished very soon. *** THIS IS NOT SOMETHING WE TAKE ANY PLEASURE IN POSTING, BUT IS THIS THE EXAMPLE WE ARE SETTING OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS*** Less than 15 hours after these streets have been deep cleaned by the council, this is how we are treating our streets Our children are spending their time cleaning our streets and we have individuals thinking it’s acceptable to throw rubbish into the road. Think how disheartening this is for these kids. What kind of a picture are we paining for the non-Muslims, when this act is completely against the teachings of our beautiful and complete religion. There are more than 5 bins in the park opposite, and if you couldn’t be bothered to walk to one of them please keep your rubbish in your cars and empty them into a bin at home. Abu Malik al-Ash’ari reported: “The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, ‘Cleanliness is half of faith'”� Sahih Muslim “Removing harmful things from the road is an act of charity (sadaqah).” Narrated by Abu Dharr Al-Ghafari. The world is sweet and green, and verily Allah has installed you as a representative or trustee (khalifa).” Prophet Muhammed SAW We plead which each and ever member of the community, please use the bins that have been provided and keep your environments clean, remember we are setting the examples for our future generations and this is not the example we want to be setting. The Prophet (salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Eeman has sixty or seventy-odd branches. The least of them is to remove something harmful from the road We would like to extend our gratitude to Councillor Majid Mahmood and Birmingham City Council, for helping keep our streets clean. It was only on Wednesday we requested litter picking equipment from them, and only last night that we sent the e-mail confirming what we needed, yet this morning bright an early, they were delivered to us. Councillor Majid Mahmood and two Birmingham City Council staff members not only delivered the equipment to us, but then themselves set the standards and led by example by litter picking on the surrounding areas of the masjid themselves. They have also managed to order new bins for the premises as our current bins were proving insufficient. Thank you very much Birmingham City Council and Majid Mahmood, for all your efforts and hard work! We look forward to working with you in the future.
Alhamdulillah! What a beautiful day, the weather held out and we were finally able to gather outside in the park to hold the Eid salah, and it was by far the busiest prayer we have had in the 10 years of doing this event! Firstly, we would like to thank our volunteers on the day who helped set up the park in the early hours of the morning while most of you were sleeping, and as a result will probably spend some of their Eid day sleeping so they were able to facilitate the prayer for you. We would also like to thank Sheikh Abdul Hadi for delivering a beautiful khutbah, we ask Allah that he enables us all to act upon his words Finally due to the sheer numbers we have had we would like to apologise to our sisters, some of whom had to pray in any space they could find simply due to the lack of space, this is something we are looking to work on, and will look to fix for future events insha’Allah. May Allah accept all our efforts and enable us to build up the foundations of good deeds that we set in the month of Ramadhan Eid Mubarak
Alhamdulillah, As you’re all aware a few brothers from our congregation are currently in Lebanon distributing aid with the generous donations you guys gave a few weeks ago. May Allah accept all their efforts and make it a means for them to enter jannah! This is the difference you guys have made to these peoples lives, and I’m sure they will have you all in their duas in this blessed month.
