A timber subframe was fitted to allow a solid base for flooring to be fitted. Along with an insulation top up, LED lighting and a new hatch & ladder, it’s now ready for use as a great storage area.

Loft Storage Room update😍 These customers in Kings Heath had us in to upgrade the loft insulation, add a light, a loft ladder and raised flooring. Once they realised the space they had up there, they had us back to fit some power sockets, a large top-hung Velux roof window and to add plasterboard to the roof rafters. We also built a shelf by the party wall which houses their storage crates and then ran some skirting board around the perimeter, a very tidy finish. Do the same to yours…. ?07805432295.

Not seen one of these in a couple of years but they turn up every now and again in some period properties…. A glazed loft hatch below a roof window which was what builders used to install to add natural light to dark landings before we had sun tunnels. Morning guys! We are delighted to be doing our annual good deed for charity again this year by collecting and recycling Christmas trees for Birmingham Hospice on Saturday the 13th of January. If you are buying or have bought a real tree to celebrate this year then please go online and book your tree collection and help donate to this great cause as they are not funded by the NHS. I appreciate that times are extremely tough but this is such a worthwhile local cause(formerly the John Taylor Hospice in Erdington).
