Our client who lives in a residential home is overjoyed by this transformation.

The window was removed, patio doors fitted, plastered where required, composite decking, glass and steel safety balustrade.

She is delighted to be able to enjoy her own open space and fresh air from the comfort of her own room.

This type of media wall not only looks incredibly stylish but is a much more affordable alternative to the standard plasterboard/plastered style.

Step added to the house access and secure railings fitted to make the garden accessible.

This replacement door is custom made and looks amazing. It is primed and ready to be painted by the customer on their request.

A lovely recent remodeling job - office room with bespoke desk and custom shelving.

We were requested to make the desk from one piece of MDF to ensure there were no joins.

Removal of old rotten and leaking frame replaced with new UPVC replacement doors/windows and frame double glazed unit.

1. An unsightly hose was cleverly boxed away to hide it whilst making a small feature shelf.

2. A previous electrician had been exploring! filled, plastered now awaiting decorating.

Our week started off so perfectly with some amazing reviews.....

Unfortunately it ended on Friday with a very stressful day with very nearly being scammed out of a few thousand pounds!

Hat's off to Lloyds bank who would not process the transaction and alerted to the probability that we were being scammed. They helped and advised us through the whole process.

DETAILS.
When Byron started Jigsaw in 2021 he was talked into donating £299 to an anti bullying campaign (see photo). He didn't realise that this had been set up as a monthly direct debit of £150/month.

2 direct debit payments in, Byron phoned the organisation to say that as a new start up business he would not be continuing the payments.

3 YEARS DOWN THE LINE.... Byron gets a phone call and email to say that he had broken the contract as a phone call cancellation was not sufficient and therefore we were being sued for £4305.00 and if payment was not made before the bailiffs turned up at our business premises within the next half an hour a bailiff surcharge of £1292.00 would be added.

We received an email with what appeared to be court documentation - Notice of enforcement & Defence and counterclaim plus a claim reference number.
They gave Byron the number of "The Courts" to ring (which was obviously in retrospect fake) to arrange payment otherwise he would need to go to court and the business would incur a CCJ (County court judgement).

Looking back on it there were a few red flags...
1. No previous letters or emails from either the company or the courts.
2. Imposed sense of urgency to make a payment.
3. Amount to pay just under £5000 which is the banks usual transfer limit.
4. Threat of bailiff turning up within a half hour.
The payee details supposedly of the court appointed solicitor (Lee Edwards) flashed up as a personal account.

Once Lloyds bank stopped our payment they suggested we do more research to verify this situation.

A google search found a similar warning on a LinkedIn post - thank you Mr Derrick Willer MBE who had posted a warning about this scam with matching telephone and email address.

Please be aware of this scam, the people carrying out these are extremely clever and we would hate for anyone else to go through a similar day that we had..... we aged 10 years overnight!

A very satisfying project! Bay window repair and refurbishment.

Luckily we got to this in time...looking at it now, you'd never guess how it started off.

In addition to the new bespoke wardrobes we also made a bespoke shelving unit/book case for an unused alcove space.

A great use of space....Beautiful and functional bespoke fitted wardrobes.

We have been quiet on here for a couple of weeks but have been oh so busy at Morley Academy school over Easter!

*There have been a lot of doors and door frames to be repaired and hinges replaced.

*Outside patio flagging has been lifted and re-laid.

*Plus the HUGE job of replacing and repairing the drama room floor, new joists, under boarding.

Special thanks to Joanthan McGee from What lies beneath flooring for the screeding and laying of a specialist Polysafe safety flooring and hot welded sealed joints.

Also a huge thank you goes out to James and Malcolm (site managers) for their excellent reviews on Checkatrade and for facilitating us in the smooth running of these jobs to allow us a perfect finish on time.

The students can recommence their productions and studies oblivious to previous 2 weeks of repairs.
