A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO QUINN! ππ»
For Winning the July Gym Challenge βFitness Connect 4β π΄π΄π΄π΄ ππ» π₯³ π
This month, clients had to complete exercises in a line of four on the whiteboard to win - clients were allowed to also block each other from completing their lines of four, just like the Connect 4 game! π
Quinn absolutely smashed this monthβs challenge, not only being the first client to complete their line of 4, but also doing this within 2 weeks!! She has now officially set the new record for the *fastest time* to win a Client Gym Challenge π π€― β°
I wanted to take the opportunity to not only congratulate Quinn on her win, but to also express how proud I am of her and how far she has come! ππ»ππͺπ»
Itβs been my pleasure to train Quinn and watch her progress, and she now turns up to every session with a positive, can-do attitude! She has not only won this monthβs challenge, but has also hit a huge milestone: completing her first 100kg Deadlift!!! π±π

For the June Gym Challenge βSquat-A-Lotβ clients were put against each other in 5 completely different Squat-focused challenges:
1. Squat the highest % of their body weight
2. Wall sit Squat for longest time
3. Most Jumping Squats in 2 mins
4. Most Goblet Squats without stopping
5. Fastest Time to complete Sumo Squat Game
Clients were scored 3 points per 1st place π₯ 2 points for 2nd place π₯ and 1 point for 3rd placeπ₯
Chris finished the Challenge with 7 points overall, placing him securely in 1st place out of over 35 clients! ππ»ππ»ππ»
Chris displayed brilliant Strength, stamina and true mind-over-matter to come out on top for this challenge ππ
This month Chris won a gym bag πΌ a gym bottle π₯€ a FREE ENTRY voucher π₯ and a selection of protein bars π«

Aoife has been training with me for 1-2-1 boxing and her confidence, strength and CRAZY punching power never ceases to amaze me! πππ» Aoife is living proof of the Yoda quote βSize Matters Notβ - she is a pleasure to train and becoming a great boxer at a young age! Well done Aoife πππ»ππ»
Claire just cannot stop winning ππ€ͺππ» - now her 4th challenge win - she always pulls these wins out the bag, right at the last, when all hope seems lost - she smashes an incredible score, and sneaks the win πππ₯
Claire is always a beam of positivity, she always brings smiles into every room she enters and has progressed so much with her strength and fitness since we first started training over 3 years ago! π

Well Done Lucy for mastering the βChin Upβ and doing your first ever UNASSISTED Repetition. ππ» π π₯³
Anybody who weight trains will understand how challenging Pull Ups and Chin Ups are. They are the ultimate feat of upper body and core strength, being able to pull your entire body weight over a bar is hard work by anyoneβs standards! π₯΅πͺπ»
After months of putting in the hard work and practicing religiously each week, Lucy managed not just one but multiple Unassisted Chin Ups and Iβm so proud & pleased for her! π starting with 10 plates (45kg) of assistance and progressively dropping the amount of assistance week by week, Lucy has absolutely smashed this target we set together and it is certainly something to celebrate! π₯³πΎποΈββοΈ
WELL DONE LUCY ππ» you have earned your trophy and place on the Hall of Fame π

Coming in with his 4th challenge win, this is another well deserved trophy to add to the cabinet for John π π₯
Last months challenge was all about weight loss, self-control, will power and dietary discipline! Clients were weighed each week and awarded for weight loss, reductions in body fat %, eating clean and abstaining from alcohol consumption. John lost an incredible 9.9lbs in the month of January, and this was backed by his unparalleled disciple and will power, he removed any and ALL chocolate, biscuits, cakes, desserts, sugar etc from his diet, and even his lucky Guinness before each Liverpool game! πΊ β½οΈ
John has displayed a perfect example of how eating a clean, whole food diet, training 3-4 times a week and cutting out alcohol can really help you lose the weight you want to lose! π₯¦π₯π³ππ₯ππ

Had 3 cancellations this afternoon and spent the last 3 HOURS editing new Fitness Butler content, I feel like my eyes have gone square π²π΅βπ«π€£ I thought that the Rocky IV sound track would motivate me to get the job doneβ¦. π

Happy Sunday everybody! π So, if youβre scrolling through your socials and have a spare 2 minutes, stop and take a look at these photos of 2 shopping trolleys.
The first one is a quick picture of mine from this afternoon, the second is one I found off of Google π (cheeky) Now, Iβm not trying to give you all a Primary School Style Lecture on the dangers of eating processed foods and refined sugars because you all know very well what these are, however this is more a post about how you fuel your body throughout the week. π₯¦β‘οΈππ»
The simplest analogy I can offer is thinking of your body like your car. When the carβs tank runs empty after youβve done a lot of driving, you then need to fill it up with good quality fuel so it can go again. When you are working day to day, weight training, walking, running, whatever your exercise of the week might be, you need the BEST quality fuel so that you perform optimally, sleep better, and have sustained and consistent energy throughout the day. If you donβt give your body (or the car) enough fuel, or crappy quality fuel, you wonβt get as far and you wonβt perform as well.
Whole foods such as white meats, fish, Greek yogurt, tofu, leafy greens, mixed vegetables, eggs, oats, berries, potatoes, rice, etcβ¦ these are HIGH quality fuels. β
Microwave meals, chocolate bars, biscuits, crisps, cakes, deep fried foods, greasy foods, these are LOW quality fuels. β
The food you put into the tank completely determines how you think, feel, act and perform each day, and can have a huge impact on things like your sleep, mood, s*x drive, energy levels, etc. π―
Take a look at your trolley next time your out shopping. Does it look like the first one, or more like the second one? π€
Hopefully this post makes you feel just a little bit guilty about all the biscuits and chocolate in your weekly shop π trust me, you donβt need it. Your brain π§ tricks you into believing you do, because sugar is ADDICTIVE! But you are stronger than that to cave and listen to your brain. You are in control. You can choose what fuel you put into your tank. Make the right choice! π₯¦ π₯ π₯© π₯ π½ π π₯ π₯ π π£ π° ππ«ππ
A belated CONGRATULATIONS to Sam!! for winning the December Gym Challenge ππ»ππ»ππ» π₯³ π
It feels kind of weird posting about Christmas in January π€£π
but Decembers Challenge was great fun: (see photosπ€ͺ) The 12 Days of Christmas Challenge had clients completing 12 separate challenges, everything from strength tests, to blindfolded balance tests, cardio circuits and even a Christmas Ring Toss challenge! Points were scored for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any of the 12 challenges! ππͺπ»
Sam scored the highest of all 40 clients that took part, and even finishing 1st place in 3 of the 12 challenges overall! ππͺπ»
Believe it or not, this now makes a Hat-trick of Christmas Challenge wins for Sam, (thats right, she won the 2021 Xmas challenge, the 2022 Xmas challenge and now the 2023 Xmas challenge!) I reckon sheβs just being kind and letting everybody else win for the remainder of the year ππ€£πͺπ»
This is a fantastic and well-deserved achievement for Sam and Iβm glad she has been able to maintain her status as the Christmas Challenge Champion ππ

So what are your goals now for the new year?
Hereβs some ideas for new Health & Fitness goals you could set for 2024:
β’Hit 10,000 steps each day πΆ
β’Limit alcohol consumption to only 1 night a week π·
β’Aim to get to bed earlier for a minimum of 8 hours sleep a night π€
β’Undergo at least 2 x 30 minute moderate-intense cardio sessions each week π² ππΌββοΈ π
β’Try to lift 10kg more for your max lift on any given exercise: for example Squats, Deadlifts or Bench Press ποΈββοΈ
β’Aim to eat a minimum 3 x handfuls of veg every day π½ π₯ π₯¦
β’Spend at least 3 hour of each day without your phone for less screen time π±π«
Hopefully some of these give you some helpful prompts to get you well on your way to a happier, healthier 2024. Goals donβt have to be impossibly difficult. Sometimes, small, realistic, obtainable goals are more sustainable than huge, overly ambitious ones.
Although goals are not the be-all and end-all, they can seriously help get you focused on where you want to be and ensure that youβre hitting the targets youβve set for each training session that you do. Goals can be a fantastic motivator and provided you donβt become too obsessed with them, they can play a huge role in bettering your physical and your mental health.

This months challenge was all about who could complete a BRUTAL 10 exercise circuit in the fastest time. Noellene came out on top with an incredibly fast time of 2m57s! π€―
Noellene is as tough as nails and always pushes herself in all PT sessions and classes alike. Iβm SO impressed with all her efforts so far and Iβm sure thereβs many more achievements to come! π

A belated CONGRATULATIONS to Beth - winner of the October Gym Challenge π₯ π π₯³ ππ»
This month clients chose 3 randomly selected cards from the Exercise Deck and earned points, dependent on both the difficulty of the exercises and whether the client could complete the exercises.
Beth came out on top, not only picking some of the hardest exercises, but completing every single one, and finishing with the highest point score at the end of the month.
Itβs safe to say, Bethβs cardiovascular fitness even puts me to shame!! π₯΅ itβs great to see how far she has come with her strength, fitness and ability level since her first session with me well over a year agoβ¦
Iβm so impressed by the drive and energy she brings to each session, she is a pleasure to train, always a good laugh, and has become a good friend! ππͺπ»ποΈββοΈ

Loving training right now π€©πͺπ»ποΈββοΈ
For the first time in a long time, Iβm loving every single training session πβ€οΈ
Setting goals is important, having a target to reach for, but ultimately enjoying the journey and the process is the key to having fulfilling exercise sessions.
Becoming too obsessed with where you want to be, means you never get to actually enjoy where you actually are right now.
If you think of your training journey as a timeline, from beginning to end, the βend goalβ is that final 1% and the 99% in the lead up to reaching that final goal, THAT is the part you should be relishing, the JOURNEY. All the stepping stones you took, all the hard work and the graft. If you only allow yourself to feel happy and satisfied once you reach your goal youβre only giving yourself 1% of your training timeline to be happy. Totally disregarding 99% of your time and your efforts, and all it took to get you there.
Iβll be dead honest, Iβm not sure Iβm even training for a βgoalβ at the moment. Iβm just enjoying each session. Feeling the benefits of weight training, cardio, boxing, stretching, and the rest.
At the end of the day, exercise is supposed to make you feel GOOD. π so donβt lose sight of this. Be grateful for your body and everything it can do!!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to LYDIA!! - The Official Winner of the September Gym Challenge ππ₯³ππ»ππ»πͺπ»
This challenge was a killer! π₯΅ Clients were tasked to complete 5 different exercises back to back (without rest) in the fastest time possible: 25 Battle Rope Slams, 20 Squats or Push Ups, 15 calorie sprint on the Bike, 10 Barbell Deadlifts and 5 Ab Wheel or Leg Raise.
Lydia completed all 5 of the above in 1 minute 34 seconds π€―π€― ππΌββοΈποΈββοΈ π΄ π₯΅
This is an unbelievably fast time by anyoneβs standards, and a well deserved win π₯ π
Lydia has the BEST attitude to training and exercise: sheβs always positive, always hard working and always open to giving anything a go! ππͺπ»
Even after just a few months training together I can already see a massive improvement in Lydiaβs strength, endurance and her physique! Arm muscles looking pumped πͺπ»πͺπ»π
Lydia is a pleasure to train and has earned her place on the Hall of Fame for this challenge win π

Evening everyone! I hope youβre all having a smashing week so far!π
So Iβve been a little crap at posting on my socials of late, but I had a spare 15 minutes (for once) this afternoon and thought Iβd use this time to write out a small Client Appreciation post. π
I am SO grateful for each and every one of you guys who come to see me on a weekly basis. Thereβs nothing I enjoy more than seeing each of you succeed and enjoy your fitness journey. β€οΈ
These last few months have been extra special. Iβve had clients trying out new healthy diet plans Iβve set for them with excellent weight loss results early on (girls, you know who you areππͺπ»). Iβve had multiple clients getting closer and closer to their first ever unassisted pull up (the hardest body weight exercise IMO!). Iβve had clients hitting new personal bests on exercises, winning challenges and achieving things they never thought they could. ππ»ππ»
To summarise in a short quote: π¬
βSTRENGTH doesnβt come from what you can do. Itβs comes from OVERCOMING the things you once thought you COULDNβT.β
I am SO proud of all of you guys. For real, even just turning up for a PT session is hard enough. You guys finding time in your busy lives to train with me and work towards a happier, healthier, fitter you is something that motivates me on a daily basis. πͺπ»
