Fence panels fitted. Built a frame with 3x2 treated timber to resist any gale force winds

So this weekend I decided to modernise our bedroom sliding doors. I bought these from B&Q. The mirrors makes the room look bigger and so much more modern 👀

The last pictures is how the wardrobe was when we got the house.

Replaced both posts on this door canopy. I used 100mm treated posts, sanded them down and painted them in white, ready for all weather conditions 🌧️🌨️⛈️🌤️🌞

The previous posts were hollow and made with untreated wood planks.

Built this table from scaffolding boards and finished it with hairpin legs. Stained in Dark Oak gives character to any home 🏡

Boxing the pipework under the boiler.
Sometimes if the boiler is placed in the kitchen the pipework can be on show and it looks a lot better if you can hide them. The top cover is held with 4 small screws for easy and fast access.

Made to measure floating shelves made from upcycled scaffolding boards.

These are cut to size, sanded with 500 grid sandpaper and varnished to keep its natural colour and beautiful grain.

Made this gate with tongue and groove planks and 3x2 for the frame. As well I finished the fencing up to the gate with feather edge boards, now only needs same capping all over and paint it the same colour 😀

What a nice day for me to work on this gate today ☀️

This beautiful gate is handmade to measure using only treated wood. I built a frame around it to give it extra strength and to cover an electric wire. I used 3x2 timber for the frame and tongue and grooved planks to finish the gate.

Upcycled wood turned into this beautiful birdhouse 🐦

This birdhouse is left in natural colour, just applied varnish to protect the wood and maintain the natural colour.

I started working on this gate on Monday but the weather ☔ was not on my side so I had to finish it today 😊

I used tongue and groove red wood and 4x2 red wood for framing 🔨

The black hinges and bolt lock gives it a very modern look. The coded lock adds the extra security desired by owners 🔐

The gate has been stained with similar colour to the fence.

Have you ever bought a table that was too big and needed reducing in size?

No job is too big or too small for me to deal with. This table top was just slightly big and needed a 5cm cut 🪓

Today I finished this gate with security lock made to measure.

The gate is framed on 4x2 timber and tongue and groove planks. This gate has been stained with light oak varnish ready for all weather conditions.

Today's job, transforming a old gate that has been fixed and fixed over the years into a picket gate with side picket fence 😍

All this has been made from scratch and fitted today. All timber used is pressure treated ready for all weather ☔

Very long day today, but super happy with the result 😁

I managed to build and fit this double driveway gate today. I used treated tongue and groove planks and braced it with treated 4x2 and 3x2 timber. The gate hangs on 14" galvanised hinges, and I used a catch to close the gate plus 2 bolts 🔨

Built this ramp for a puppy sausage dog, so it can get on and off the bed/sofa 😅

Beautifully handmade side gate made to measure 🔨

For this gate I used all treated wood, leaving small gaps in between the planks. Galvanised hinges and bolt lock to finish the job 😊

Scaffolding Boards ➡️ Shelves

These scaffolding boards are used, so they had nails, screws, plaster, cement, you name it...

First step is to clean them properly, then sand them down to bring out the natural grain of the wood and smooth the surface.

Last step is applying the stain, I used outdoor dark oak stain as these shelves are made for a bathroom.

Today's job: double gates for the alpacas 🦙🦙🦙🦙

These have been handmade from scratch with all treated wood.

Here it is the latest creation: a 12ft wide driveway gate made from scratch 🔨

Before it was made of feather edge boards, normally used for fencing and not strong enough for a gate.

I used tongue and groove 22mm thick boards and 4x3 for the bracing. Now the gate is sturdy and added 2 wheels to help holding the weight of the gates.

I loved it today, making 2 gates for these cuties 🦙🦙🦙🦙 so the owners can move them between two fields.

The alpacas were very calm and friendly, they didn't spit at me once 😊

I used 3x2 treated wood to build the gates and added strength to it with a diagonal brace reinforced with bolts and nuts 🔨

I fitted the gate last week and suggested to put a new fence in with the same tongue and groove treated planks. The result is amazing 😍 this has made a massive improvement and enhanced the property.
