Builders Blackpool LTD are looking for an experienced labourer.

Needs to be reliable, punctual and honest in your capabilities.

Knowledge of the building trade is a must, understanding what the tools are and what they are used for, able to read the job and understand what is needed next. Needs to be a hard worker and keen to learn new skills. Good team player, but able to work under own initiative.
We do not need a tea maker or someone to sweep up, cleaning of the site is done as a team. We are just looking for someone who does what they say they can do and is fully interested and takes pride in what they are doing.

Here’s an update on the dual extensions…

We are up to damp course on both extensions, ground works have been levelled out, whacker plated down the hardcore and brick profiles and string lines set out.

Cleared and tidied the whole site, ready for a break until we are back in March, due to customers other commitments.

One of our latest projects, a 15m2 extension and a 25m2 extension.
Here we have completed the dig out, laid the foundations, started the build in trench block and the profiles have been erected today.

Another Krend season is coming to an end.

This is not one we would usually take on due to the fact that the owner does not want the sub straight to go back to bare brick.
Taking the existing render completely off and the preparation would run in to a few more thousand pounds.
Instead we have used a product called Krend R10, it is a very sand based glue, but once the majority of the dash is scraped off using spatulas, then the R10 goes to work by stabilising the substrate and to give an excellent bond ready for the HP12.
The HP12 is a high polymer base coat and is an excellent waterproofer. This is applied in 2 passes with the help of a quality Krend mesh inbetween passes.
The mesh is pushed in and creates a flat surface.
The Krend K1 is then applied in 2 passes with a Krend accelerator to make the product scratch able in the same day.
An I section or I bar is used to create the walls to be super flat then a scratcher is used to give the desired Krend texture we all know, but always super flat.
As you can see the complete look around the bay window, we now await dry weather to get the rest on.

Not taking on apprentices or new starters at the moment, it is a fast paced job and you need to be able to read what is going on. Unfortunately at the moment we don’t have the time to train someone up as well as working.

Rather than a pull down loft ladder, we used part of the back bedroom to create a stairway with not loosing too much space
