We haven't posted up in quite a while so here's an update.

Unfortunatly the upcycling of furniture in aid of Brian House hasn't gone to plan, due to not being able to sell the pieces for decent amounts of money. It was very hard for me to see pieces of furniture which I had put my heart into being sold off at £15/£20 etc. So whilst it was for charity, I'm not willing too sell myself down the river so to speak, and I know that it's the last thing that the staff at Brian House would want me to do too.

However, as of August, I will be taking requests for people's own pieces of furniture to be upcycled and after taking out my costs, will ask that they donate the rest of the cost to Brian House.

I am about to start work on a lovely vintage garden bench. Our Client has asked for a simple Golden oak stain followed by a wax finish.

We had a brilliant time at The Blackpool Sixth Form College during their careers day today! It's always brilliant to talk to young people about the fantastic work we do across the hospice.

We spoke to lots of very enthusiastic students about the work we do in medical settings, as well as how we fundraise. Thank you for having us 😁

Leigh is just one member of our amazing nursing team that work across the hospice, the hospital and out in the community. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to reach all of the people across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre that need our support.

A regular donation of just £10 a month could pay for a difficult phone call to a family member, and a regular gift of £28 could allow us to spend an hour with a patient at home during the night. For the cost of one takeaway meal a month, you can really make a difference to someone’s life.

Many thanks to Bispham Junior Football Club Federation for giving us permission to sell raffle tickets, for our signed football, at their game events! 👏👏 and a HUGE thank you to our lovely Coral Latham for suggesting the idea to boost our raffle tickets sales. Thank you Coral, you're a star! ⭐️💐

On Saturday, Coral and I will be over at Bispham Gala field around 9.30a.m. then we'll be over at Bispham college playing fields 10.45 - 11.15.

Sunday, we'll be on Bispham Gala field around 10.30 and then again around 1.30. If you're in the area and would like raffle tickets to win this fabulous football, they are £3 a strip.

Four weeks until Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10k Fun Run 🤩

It's now just four weeks until everyone's favourite 10k returns and we couldn't be more excited! Over 1,000 participants are due to join us on Sunday 12th May - are you one of them?

17 Breakfasts
5 lots of art & craft supplies
1 specialist duvet so a child will feel safer & sleep more sound.
3 hours for a specialist health assistant, either at home or in Brian House, which create lasting & cherished memories 💕

I want every person who donates, to recognise that their donation HASN'T just gone 'somewhere', these are real children with real illness's and EVERY PENNY helps these children. EVERY PENNY YOU GIVE MAKES A DIFFERENCE 🙌

I got lucky with this piece as it already has fabulous decorative swags & flowers 🎀🌸🌸🎀 so I don't need to make any for this piece.

I'm hoping to have it finished by Thursday, so watch this space, and see what artistic design i've come up with this time.

Hello 👋 We would like to ask for your help. Will you show support for our charity project here in Blackpool in the U.K.?

We are trying to raise money for our local childrens hospice, your help is so important to us as we can't do this without you. So far we have raised £281 through cash donations, selling raffle tickets and our just giving page.

The government give the hospice £200,000 a year which is not enough to keep the hospice going. Running costs for 1 year, is over 1 million english pounds. 24 hours of specialist care for EACH child, costs a HUGE £3,875.28.

Please help us to give these children full lives, no matter how short their life may be.
